Okay right now I have a order sitting in my shopping cart for Garden Grocer. It is about 150 bucks worth. I have read on here that most people think that Wego is cheaper. So if I go with them do I write out exactly the item I want, with brand/quantity/size package and Wego will get it?? We are not getting anything too complicated: cases of water, powerade, snacks, frozen waffles/panckes/breakfast type stuff, cheese sticks/dairy type stuff, a little bit of laundry stuff.

Where does wego shop????

Thanks

I haven't used either service yet, but Wego's process looked a lot more complicated to me. Will be watching this thread with great interest.

Yeah unless someone sells me really well on Wego I agree with you. I like the idea of seeing what I am getting and the price. No surprise at the end. Plus my kids have nut allergies. I don't need a lot to be substituted. I even compared the prices on Garden to the resorts but the resorts are really lacking in variety.

I did call Marge and spoke with her. She said they prefer to use Publics (which is where we shop when we stop with the car service we use) but she said she can go anywhere we like.

I have used wegoshhop 4 times and I will be on our upcoming trip.
Actually, I prefer to create my own list. I list item, package size and quantity. You can indicate if you will allow substitutions or not. I even had Marge call me from the store and ask about a substitution.
I believe that wegoshop is cheaper. They will shop at the store you request including Sam's Club if you want. The cost is the actual cost of the items - no mark up like at Garden Grocer. They give you the actual store receipt with the delivery. There delivery fee is a bit higher I think. They give you a 30 minute delivery window, rather than a 2 hour delivery window. We have always had a late afternoon delivery right to our room (not Bell Services) and they go over the order and help put it away. I highly recommend them.

My guide, who owns at BWV, raved about Wego. But after seeing the website, I was a little put off. Then again, I'm not one who will be preparing gourmet meals in my villa. Like you, I just want some breakfast essentials, laundry supplies, and a nice selection of beverages and snacks, and it looks to me that Garden Grocer can fill that need quite well.

I've used WGS at least ten times. I ususally create a word doc to make my list. Then I copy it to the web site. I note at the beginning that store brands are fine except where I list a name brand. Marge is a dear. She is very accommodating.

I haven't used Garden Grocer, only wegoshop, so I can't do a comparison. However, I've been really pleased with wego. The first time I placed my order, I thought it was a lot of trouble because I stressed about getting the package sizing correct. That really wasn't necessary. After I realized I could list - large bag frozen Tyson chicken nuggets for example, things were much easier.

Marge and her staff have been really accomodating and have called every time an item wasn't available to check for substitutions. Once when we were putting away the items and checking them against the list we realized an item was left off. They brought that item to me later that same day and wouldn't let me pay them for it.

i have only used gg and it was very easy...it was delivered to bell serives and was waiting for me when I arrived....i don't order too m uch so that was fine

I have used garden grocer in the past but now that I am on weight watchers I want specific items that garden grocer just doesn't have. I want to be able to have at least 1-2 meals a day in my villa or be able to prepare it as well as snacks to take with me to the parks so I will be using we go shop in August.

We have used Garden Grocer twice with excellent experiences both times. I believe WeGoShop requires you to be in the room to accept the order from them - is that correct? With Garden Grocer they checked it with Bell Services and the CM brought it all up to our villa with our luggage when we checked in. Very convenient...BTW I checked pricing and looked like the difference in deliveries fees would be higher with WeGoShop...

If you order cold/frozen items from GG how are they packed? If your items are delivered to bell services is there anyway to keep them cold?

Can your order be delivered right to your villa? If so, you have to stay there for 2 hours?

Last year my order was checked with bell services, they keep everything cold until you call to get it.

I used WeGoShop for my recent trip to Disney this past May 30- June 7. I would HIGHLY recommend their service. They even accepted my order 2 days in advance. I know that GardenGrocer was booked for 5/30.
Was actually very easy. You just enter what you want in the area provided, like a shopping list. I know what you mean about Garden Grocer having a more organized website, but WeGoShop was much more accomidating.
They arrived as promised & I didn't know what to expect but was HIGHLY impressed. They shop JUST FOR YOU. You will get your actual receipt, showing just what they bought and how much it was. They even used coupons for me - 3 of them. Was exactly what I wanted & more. I still have Marge's phone number in my cell phone :) My delivery woman - can't remember her name :( was so nice. We had a nice talk about how she was from NJ as well. A true pleasure.
Will ABSOLUTELY use in the future.....

We've used WeGoShop on our last four visits. Our order is usually around $200, however at Christmas 07, we spent $450 for 12 of us in a GV at BWV. We have always gotten everything requested. Marge is wondeful about getting exactly what you want. We compile a list of the items we want, brand name or stores, size, quanity and then email it to Marge. You can even specify a certain store chain if it's available there. They shop using coupons the day they deliver, and when they deliver and in the past have helped unpack and put things up. Once we had to add several items to our order the day before delivery. I called Margeand told her our additions andthe next day, the items were there.

I'll be emailing Marge our October's trip request in just a few weeks. It's a very good service.

We too have used WeGoShop several times and have been more than pleased. Marge is wonderful to work with and extremely accomodating. We like to be in the room when the food is delivered and always schedule for around 6pm. We call her when we get to our resort and then call her back when we have our actual room number and let her know someone will be there for the delivery. I also like the fact we can get specific products, sizes and that they will shop at the store of our choice. They will do even Whole Foods if that is your preference.
Garden Grocer is an online grocery store, where as WeGoShop is a personal shopping service. Even though the delivery fee is less with Garden Grocer, with the inflated prices at Garden Grocer it makes it about a wash in the end. Plus, we get the personal touch. Also, Marge at WeGoShop has offered to do another trip for us mid-week if we needed it and she would waive the delivery fee. Not sure if this is a constant or not, but I thought that was great service and a great value.

We have used both in the past and both services worked well for us. Both delivered to bell svcs for us ( we did not buy alcohol).

I think we will stick with WeGoShop . I like making my own list and choosing where they shop (can control price a lot that way). For instance, we will have WeGo go to Sams Club for us ...we go online to see what they offer & the price and have a good idea of how much we'll be spending. I believe her slightly higher delivery fees are made up in the cost per item savings. Both services make their money off of you--one way or another. Psychologically, I'd rather buy no name milk at 2 something a gallon than pay over 4 per gallon since I'm buying 8 gallons!

What we liked about Wegoshop is that if you want an specific item from a specific store they go there. I looked at Publix's online just before we came and Marge was able to get veges/fruit on sale for us. My sil needed organic items from Whole Foods and Marge went there. We'll use WeGoShop again.

Both good services, just what works for you.

What about alcohol? I was hoping to get some beer and wine and maybe even some rum or tequila......

We use Wegoshop all the time. Marge and her staff are great! I like having the freedom to order anything I want and not be restricted to a "list". We too have gotten calls in the past when a substitution is needed. It seems like they shop the day you arrive so everything is fresh. Don't let their website scare or confuse you. If you have any questions, just call Marge, I'm sure she'll be happy to help you.
