Weekly point use

My wife and I are thinking of buying into DVC and had a question on what days a weekly rental has to be. Does it have to start on Saturday and run for a week? Or can it start any day of the week?

DVC does not rent in traditional time share weeks. It's points per night and you can start / end your vacation whenever you want, as short or as long as you want.

Any 7 day period. When you look at the Weekly totals in the points charts, it is simply 5 weeknights and 2 weekends and is really posted for convenience than anything else.

That is one of the reasons why we like having this timeshare as it doesn't lock us in to a specific week. I teach so our plans can be very flexible and being able to book a few days or an entire week is great.

in addition you can also choose your room type .. from studio, 1, 2 or 3 bedroom villas ... you control when you want to travel and what type of room you would like .. depending upon availability.

Except when a season changes during the middle of your stay. Then you can't use the weekly point requirement.
