weekly point question

We are considering renting DVC points for our vacation next November. My question involves points. What is a week in DVC terms? Is it 6 nights/7 days or 7 nights/8 days? I think it is 7 night/8 day, but I want to be sure before I get too deep into my planning. I realize that I can rent the number of points for the nights that I need, but I am curious about the definition of a week.

It's 7 nights - Sunday through Saturday (or whatever 7 consecutive nights - DVC doesn't really book in weeks like other timeshares). The weekly prices are simply the total of the price for Sun-Thurs (5) and Fri-Sat (2 nights).

What's shown on the points charts is for convenience purposes mainly....so at a glance you can see the total of 5 weekday nights preceded or followed by 2 weekend nights or whatever way you want to set up those 7 consecutive nights - ie you can check in on a Thurs.(1 weekday night) followed by Fri. & Sat. nights(2 weekend nights) followed by Sun.-Wed.nights(4 weekday nights). Just note that there is no "savings" for booking 7 nights as there might be when some hotels offer a 'book 7 nights-save xx% off per night' type of deal.

If your stay spans 2 seasons, you have to calculate each night individually.
