weekend of Oct. 24 or Halloween weekend?

We have to move our trip from Oct. 15-19 to another time. Halloween is looking best for us. Would there be much difference in crowd levels for either weekend? We plan to do the MNSSHP either on Oct. 31 or Nov. 1. Are there any other Halloween or fall type events going on? I know the Food and Wine Festival going on at EPCOT...anything else? Would you choose Oct. 31 or Nov. 1 for the MNSSHP?

We are going on 10/31, from what I have read both nights will sell out 10/31 and 11/1 so crowd should be the same. With that said we thought that going on Halloween would be a little more special.

We were there last year from Oct 25-Nov 4 and didn't notice a difference in crowd levels from one weekend to the next. I agree that the 31 and 1st will both sell out so it shouldn't matter either way. Last year, I think every party sold out that week. On actual Halloween, we went to Fort Wilderness and did Mickey's Backyard BBQ followed by trick or treating around the RV loops...it was great! Each resort will also have some sort of special activities on Halloween afternoon/evening.
