Weekend Getaway: CSR v CBR

Hey! Wanted to surprise hubby and mom with a quick trip to WDW for their birthdays and an evening at the Halloween Party. We are a party of 7 people (2 GP around 75 with some mobility issues), 3 adults and 2 kids (6,3). We will most likely get multiple rooms. CBR only has pirate rooms avail (could be fun- but I dont know too much about them) and CSR has Standard/Water/Preferred available. Which one would you stay out? We would be using some Disney Transport and auto. Please let me know what you would do. I wish we could have gotten PO but nothing was available. Thanks!

CSR, no question, especially given your party.

Pirate rooms are the farthest from everything and if you plan to use the pool area or main hub quite the hike. Pirate rooms are full beds unlike queen in other rooms and CSR, in a bunk like ship with bunk like mattress.

CBR buildings have no elevators so if you get put on the second floor - which given you can only get Pirate rooms is a good chance - your parents may have to hike up the steps.

I agree with CSR for sure. I would get a preferred room, even though a bit more expensive. If you have Grand Parents around 75 with mobility issues this will matter

Yep CSR for sure. Pirate rooms have double beds, not queen. And no elevators at CBR would be a deal-breaker for GPs if on the second floor.

Yes, CSR is the clear winner here for reasons already stated by PP'ers. I would also book preferred rooms, if possible, especially for someone with mobility issues.

definitely CSR ! I was there in late May - wonderful resort with good food options at the Pepper Market - a fabulous pool. We loved it.
