Weekend before christmas???

We are looking into a trip down the week before christmas dec 16-22 we where wondering how busy the friday/saturday/sunday dec 19-20-21 will be??this is when air and hotel will work out a little cheaper but we could change dates if this weekend will be crazy..any help will be appreciated!!

The closest to Christmas we have been was with our last day being the 18th of Dec.-year before last- by then, it was getting crazy!! We don't like the crowds so overwhelming and it was heading there!! The first week of December has usually been good-if you are set on December. The deco. are up and it's really pretty, and most families still have kids in school, so it's not as bad,by the end of the 2nd week you can really see a difference. but, it that's when you really want to go it's doable. Just be prepared for lines to be a bit longer and parks a little fuller. It's still Disney world!!!

It's a little crazy already during that weekend. A lot of people are arriving for their Christmas holiday-like us. We are going 12/17-12/28. It is very crowded, but we go during this time for the atmosphere and not so much to get on all the rides (although we do get on a lot anyway, but with patience). Early in December is a great time to go if your concerned about crowds, but still want to see the decor.

I was there the 15-23 December 2007. Crowds were not bad at all in the beginning of the week. You could tell it was picking up the closer it got to Christmas. But was not that bad, we never waited that long in line. I would say your dates may be okay until you hit the weekend. (the 20th is Saturday)When I would think most people would be flying in.
