Weekend After Thanksgiving

Anyone there last year? How was the crowds? We were there during the week last year, but thinking of including the weekend this year and wanted to see how it was.

I wasn't there for the weekend after Thanksgiving last year, but I have been before. My birthday is Dec. 3 and we try to go the weekend before every year, but it has fallen on that weekend before. Crowds are a bit higher than usual, as with all holidays. Kids are out for school and at the parks, of course!

We were there at that time last year. During the week it was very nice...small crowds with short wait times. However, by Friday, the crowds picked up a lot. Fantasmic was not offered during the week, so Friday and Saturday drew more people...but the big thing was Candelight Processional. It was held the weekend of Dec 3 & 4th.... DL was very busy at that time for this.
We will be back this year at the same time, though!

We have gone the week after Thanksgiving for the past 6 (or so) years. We have always gone mid-week.....Tues - Thurs. Last year we decided to go Sunday - Tues (so the kids would not miss a full week of school). We were prepared for big crowds on Sunday (i.e. the Sunday after Thanksgiving) but were pleasantly surprised that it was not too bad. There were a lot of people, and I wouldn't say the lines were anywhere near "walk-on"....but the lines were not too long. Plus it was very fun to be there on a day when the park was open from 8am-midnight and when Fantasmic was playing. (Since we usually go mid-week, we are used to park hours that are more like 9-8 with NO Fantasmic). We are planning on doing the same thing this year. Happy planning!
