We will be in Anaheim (Worldmark Anaheim) from Saturday May 23-Monday June 1. Which days will be the best (least crowded) for the parks? We have the 3 day military passes, and will probably spend another day at DTD and one at Goofy's Kitchen/DTD as well.

My assumption is that Mem Day weekend itself will be crowded and we should probably avoid the parks then. During the week? The next weekend? I overplanned all our previous trips, but I am really slacking big time this trip!

honestly, I dont think the parks will be that crowded. We just booked a hotel for 4 nights over mem. weekend and all the hotels were fully open for any room. (unusual) Also all the character dining was still fully open for any times. I dont think you will have a problem with these dates.

I'd go Tues/Wed or Wed/Thurs, then either Fri or Sat. Tues/Wed/Thurs will probably be least crowded, then Fri/Sat you could catch Aladdin and fireworks if they were cancelled early in the week (for winds or someththing) or if you just wanted to see them again. According to the calendar, at least right now, Aladdin is only showing on the weekends, unless I missed something.

Hopefully we'll get lucky and it will be unusually quiet :) we'll be there that same week! Have a great trip!

We went last year starting our park days on the holiday Monday. Nice and quiet. Nice and quiet all week, though on Friday started picking up. We heard later that the week leading into the holiday weekend was busy, and the weekend was pretty bad...but it seems they'd all gone home by the time we entered the park on Monday.

We're doing the same trip this year, hoping that everyone takes Friday (and maybe Thursday too) off, has a nice packed weekend, then goes home Sunday night or Monday morning, leaving the parks to us.

They are showing Aladdin on that Monday, according to the calender, but then it's down until Friday. The Up pre-parade (before the Pixar Play Parade in DCA) is on that Tuesday and Friday. Just thought I'd mention those things b/c they're unusual (holiday and short-term pre-parade).

The reason we are going that week is that our resort was wide open that week (after rescheduling from spring break due to the birth of boy #3!!). I hoped from that it meant it was going to be a lighter crowd.

Thanks for the input!! I'm taking notes for our trip. I'll try to remember my lgmh in the park, just in case I run into any of you!! I'll be the one with the under 2 month old in a moby wrap. Cant be that many of us!! :goodvibes

Not to be a downer, but the parks will probably still be pretty crowded. Don't forget a lot of locals go to DLR so even if the hotels aren't booked, the parks could still be busy. We've gone recently on several "normal" weekends over the past several months (sundays mostly) and it's been pretty crowded even when we thought it wouldn't be bad. I would say go expecting big crowds so you'll be prepared and then if it's not that bad you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Have a great trip!

I'll be there with the fam from the 23rd-26th. We are planning on it being very crowded but my bday is the 25th so that's when we are going. :) We are hoping crowds slack off on Monday and Tuesday some but for Saturday & Sunday we are planning on heavy crowds. Yes, locals will go BUT unless you have a Premium AP you're blacked out so I'm hoping that will help some.

I went last yr same week and going this year too. I thought wed was the busiest day along with friday.
We arrived on memorial day and we got to ride a lot of rides that day. Im going to say mon and tue we the least busy of all the days.

I think that Friday will be just like any other Friday. The weekends might be crowded. the might is just because this year has been so weird with the crowd predictions due to the bday promotion, and the cheap AP's.
So its hard to really say. But like someone said earlier, expect the absolute worse and you wont be let down :)

We are arriving on the 23rd as well. We will spend half a day at 1 of the parks, but a full day on Monday and Tuesday. Right now the plan is DL on Monday and CA on Tuesday... Is there a better day to attend one or the other?? Thanks!! We have never been and this is a very last minute trip.

my personal experience is from 2006

we were there the weekend of Memorial Day (Sat-Monday) and honestly, i dont even remember a crowd...

though i should note: i rarely get bogged down by the crowds in Disney....i hardly notice people around me, and when i do, my patience is very high

Why limit yourself to 1 park per day? They are very very close to each other, just go back and forth. That's what we do. :) Your tickets will be park hoppers, unless you've got single park single day tickets.
