We are going to Disneyland the week of March 12th. Any ideas on the crowd levels this week? I am getting nervous about having made our trip at a very busy time. Any guesses on what we can expect?

Thanks!

Waits of 15 to 20 minutes on the small rides. Waits of 30-60 on the big rides. Nothing crazy just busy.

Honestly I think its going to be a madhouse - its Spring Break week - here is how i judge it - go see what hotel availability is like - if everything is pretty much sold out, that will tell you!

Madhouse is not a good adjective to apply.

Hotels are not booked up for the OPs week much more than the week before which is the offseason. As dates approach, hotels fill up. This is just in a couple weeks, it's last minute.

What do you think the week after will be like? I have a friend that arrives on the 18th for a first trip.

The parks are open late. I was going to suggest arriving before the parks open and staying until 1 pm or so and then heading back to the hotel for a nap and swim then have dinner on the way back to the parks and stay til closing.

Busier than the first week of Spring Break by a bit. Your advice for your friend is great. Also mention to use FastPass for the big attractions.

Thanks! I have all ready filled her in on FP. I'll make sure she understands it before she leaves. I know she is going at a busy time but that is the only time they can get off work-she's a teacher. She doesn't want to go in the summer when it's really warm.

I'm sure it will be busier being a spring break time, but keep in mind that many times the hotels are booked due to conventions being held. I know that's the case for the weekend before March 12th (my husband is one who is going to it and we had a hard time finding a room for him a while back) so if there's a convention going on that week rooms may be hard to find but it doesnt necessarily mean DLR will be crazy.

Yes I am expecting it to be busy- the parks are open from 8-12 all this week. But I am hoping that it won't be so busy that we won't enjoy our time! We are going for 3 days and I am nervous that we won't have enough time to get in all the fun!

I know that the Deaf Awareness Day is March 8-10th. I am hoping that this doesn't affect the crowds March 12-14 in the park.
