I'm planning on our 5th trip in Nov/Dec.........my oldest starts Kindergarten this fall, so it'll be more difficult in the future to pull her out of the school for vacation. :(

Anyways, I was wondering if there are any difference between week before Thanks Giving and the 1st week of December? Any pro or con of either week? I guess both dates have Christmas stuff up, so that's great. But can't seem to tell if one week is better than the other? I appreciate any input or opinions!

Thank you!!

1- I guess both dates have Christmas stuff up, so that's great.

2- But can't seem to tell if one week is better than the other? I appreciate any input or opinions!

Thank you!!

1- Nope.
Far more Christmas decorations and activities after Thanksgiving.

2- We go the first week of December.

We've been during both weeks but if crowds are a huge concern, I'd wait until the first week of December. Early in the Thanksgiving week isn't bad but as each day gets closer to Thanksgiving, it gets more and more crowded. December just feels "better" to me. You'll have a great time either way. ::yes::

Wait, maybe I'm confused. If you meant the actual week before Thanksgiving, not Thanksgiving week, then either week, the week before Thanksgiving week or the week after are fine. I wouldn't trust the actual week of Thanksgiving. Sorry if I've confused you....I know I confused myself.:scared1:

I went the week before Thanksgiving in 2012 and it was excellent. Perfect crowd levels, perfect weather and things were super great. There was lots of Christmas activities up already, the only thing that we missed were the story tellers in Epcot and the Candlelight Processional, but if you aren't interested in either I'd say November logistically is a better time anyway.

With your daughter in school depending on how late she gets out for Christmas it could be strange for her to go to Disney the first week and then have to go back to school for a week or a week and a half before Christmas? But that's just a personal opinion.

I have friends that swear the week before Thanksgiving is the best time to go.
However, we always go the week of and after Thanksgiving. The week after is usually really good, but last year it was by far the most crowded I have seen it. Most likely due to the late Thanksgiving. I think either week would be good, depends on what works best for you guys! Good luck deciding!!

We went the first week of Dec last year and enjoyed it, but just from reading the boards around that time, it was definitely less crowded the week before Thanksgiving (assuming you don't mean the actual week of Thanksgiving). The only thing that pushes me toward Dec is the Candlelight Processional, which we loved!

We've done the first week in December a number of times and are actually going the week before Thanksgiving this year. Even the first week of December is too close to Christmas and we feel so rushed with getting a tree, decorating, shopping, wrapping, etc, when 2 weekends are taken by vacation.

Thank you! I thought most of the Christmas stuff is up in November......so in that case maybe 1st week of Dec is better then.

Yup I meant a week before the Thanks Giving week or the 1st week of Dec. Now I think of it, maybe it is kind of tough to come back from WDW in Thanks Giving week and get ready and cook the dinner and all.......usually it takes me about 1-2 weeks to get back to normal routine after Disney trip. We booked at WL this time since I hear so many people are raving about the Christmas decoration there............still considering POFQ since we loved it so much when we stayed there this Feb.

I'm waiting for the Easy WDW's December Crowd prediction..............

This worries me a little, a lot of sites says 1st week of Dec is fairy less crowded....but that's not the case anymore?
