Week After Turkey Day Shenanigans

Also on pinterest and working on making some little magic band decals for everyone - there are some really cute ones on Etsy that I can easily recreate and I've got a stash of vinyl just waiting to be used! I'm thinking star wars themed - droids or lightsabers for the kids, Leia and Han "I love you, I know" for DH and I :D

Love this! Does the vinyl just stick to things, or is there something you need to do to make them stick?

I think we might end up with 3 days at Epcot. If we do, we'll do soarin' the first day and FEA the second two days (figuring fp's will be easier to secure later in our trip). If we don't like it that much after the first time, I should be able to switch our second day of fp's to TT at that point without much trouble.

oh that's smart, I hadn't even considered that!! I have 3 days to split between Epcot and DHS as of now, and dinner is at Epcot 2 of those nights. Maybe we will hit HS for rope drop on 2 days: use FP at HS on day one, and on the second day at HS save our FP for Epcot and get FEA. then our epcot morning we can split TT and Soarin as planned and then ride whatever lines are short before hitting up WS.

The vinyl is already adhesive, just make sure it's not the iron on kind. They even make glitter vinyl which would be awesome on a magic band. hmmmm...haha

Trying this morning to figure out a general FP plan too. I think we may just split the Soarin/Test track like we did last year and not bother with FEA, or head there at rope drop and hope the kids don't lose it waiting in a longish line first thing. My oldest won't care to ride it, but since it's one we can do as a family and the little one likes Olaf I want to try to hit it at some point.

I have been doing the same thing. My problem is I have guys that probably don't want to waste their FP on FEA but the younger kids and I want to. Thinking I will try to RD Soarin, FP FEA then head to test track after. All providing that I can get a reasonable FP to FEA.

What are the ages in your party?? Is single rider for test track an option? I have seen lately most people are recommending to rope drop TT then head to soarin.

Once we are closer to the trip I'll be watching wait times at open to see what makes more sense I think.

Kids are 5, 11,12,14,16.
I actually have never been on TT before. It was under refurb the last 2 times we went. Maybe I will rope drop TT instead. Watching wait times is a good idea!

The other thing to consider is that in inclement weather test track is down often because it's outside for part of it. So if it's down when you have a FP out can use it later.

I'm still trying to decide if the seating for CP is worth 2 dinner credits. We are planning to eat at Biergarten (first time) with an 8:15 show that night with NPH. We've never done the CP either so I don't know if it is worth it or not. Tempted to take the extra credits and try Flying Fish after seeing the reviews. Any advice?

We watched a you tube video of the CP and my boys decided it wasn't worth it to them. Maybe watch a video to help you decide?

I would watch a video to see if it interests you. Also others have talked about paying out of pocket for the CP dining not to waste 2 credits. Maybe even consider a breakfast on the dining plan to pay OOP since they are significantly cheaper. I cannot get the dining plan because of the type of room discount we have. I have gotten a Garden Grill breakfast and Trattoria al Frono breakfast (still trying to decide which is better option for us) so that I can save the extra $$. Garden Grill $39 adult/$23 child and Trattoria al Frono $27 adult/$17 Child. Just a thought.. Flying Fish sounds wonderful though.

We really enjoy Biergarten. We are trying CP (on an NPH day) as well - or at least I am. DH and DD may not be into it, but I do not want to miss it - this may be my only Christmas WDW trip... so I am doing it!! We have a breakfast package ADR at Garden Grill - haven't been there before, so trying something new!

I Have two ADRs I'm going to be releasing. Will put them up for grabs on the big ADR cancelling thread tomorrow.

Monday, Nov 28, 3:40 PM Beaches & Cream - 2 people
Wednesday, Nov 30, 6:30 PM Tony's - 2 people

Private message me if you want to try to coordinate.

Looks like we'll be paying rack rate if we stay at Pop for Saturday and Sunday. I'm really bummed, but 2 standards at Pop are still cheaper than AoA's discounted suites.

I'm paying rack rate on Friday at sports. Stings a little, but DH decided it was worth it to pay a little more to be on site the first day vs saving a little $ and staying by the airport.

I just had a chance to look at the discounts. They are pretty disappointing. We come out way ahead with the free dining package. Rack rate for Black Friday, but I pretty much expected that.

We considered staying at ASMo or ASSp but dh says he'd rather be at Pop for the convenience. It's only around $90 cheaper at ASMo than Pop, so I guess convenience is worth about that. Either way, we'll be at Disney two days earlier than we originally planned! :D

Woo!! We loved Pop, I wanted to go back there this trip but DH insisted we try another value. I told him it was sports or music and he chose sports. Reallllly hope we don't regret it booming pop again when I had the chance with FD!

I was playing around with TP earlier and trying to figure out what attractions we missed last trip that I want to try and fit in this time. Man I didn't realize how much we missed just at MK alone:

- Tom Sawyer island
- tiki room (I loved it as a kid haha!)
- carousel of progress
- hall of presidents
- little mermaid ride
- enchanted tales with belle (may never get to this one with my crew :/)
-country bears (ok skipping this again, I hated it as a kid!)
- Philharmagic
- Pirates of the Caribbean (was down ALL day last trip. Ugh!)
- Railroad was being refurbed last year too. My 2yo will LOVE that!

We also didn't see ANY shows at HS, missed all but Lion king at AK, and only quickly strolled thru the WS on our way to biergarten last year.

So many things to try and fit in this year, since I promised DH I wouldn't even suggest Disney again for 2 years :rotfl:
