Week After Turkey Day Shenanigans

I'm excited because even though Disney refuses to release the TA calendar for December, we should finally know for sure which park or parks have emh for Friday, December 2. Touring plans says it will be AK, but in November and October Fridays are often MK in the morning and DHS at night. THIS is a very big day, Pascal!

So excited we finally got 12/1 so I can begin to "finalize" my schedule. However, without knowing if SW fireworks and AK entertainment will be every night, I feel like I need to make all my ADR's for lunch so I can hop to DHS or AK as needed at night if it's only on certain nights.

I'm going to try to make lunch and dinner reservations on a few days, then cancel one or the other as the schedule firms up closer to the trip!

Take a look at the Oct and Nov calendars. On the weeks when MK has pm emh on Wednesdays, they then have am emh on Fridays (including party days). Now, there's always the chance that has had something to do with Food & Wine going on at Epcot so possibly they'll change the schedule for December, but we should know tonight. The other curious thing, is why are there no emh scheduled for Monday, November 28? That should be either AK or MK am emh. The fact that it is neither leaves me stumped!

I think besides Minnie's Dine none of my reservations are very sought after so I am hoping I will be able to switch some times around closer to the trip. At this point, I'll settle for whatever restaurants I have to if as we get closer I need to cancel some and get others to fit in AK and DHS at night. New entertainment is much more important!

Well, there is still time to figure it out. Like I said, we'll know so much more after tonight. I feel like the information we get about emh for that Friday will just help the rest of the schedule fall into place. Sure hope so anyway!

I sure hope so too. I went home last night with 10 pages of possible schedules for my husband to look at last night. He says I know you don't expect me to understand any of this. LOL. I feel like with free dining, I need to make 6 ADR's for each day, but they are what is screwing my schedule up most, so I am picking a few must-haves and then going rogue from there.

I feel like with free dining, I need to make 6 ADR's for each day, but they are what is screwing my schedule up most, so I am picking a few must-haves and then going rogue from there.

If I could be more spontaneous I would do this too! Unfortunately my kids are very structured and I need definite plans or the whole trip will be a disaster lol

We would love to! If we do go, my hope is for that night. My second choice is Dec 1. It'll all depend on how the $$ works out though.

Just found this fun thread - we are going that week (11/26-12/3), staying at CSR. We were originally planning a March trip, but I started playing with the free dining and, well, the rest is history!

We are planning on MVMCP on 11/29 - this is our first Christmas trip after trying Halloween last year. So excited!

Well you were right! AM EMH at MK on Friday with the party in the evening. I'm really torn now on what to do, we avoided all EMH parks last year so I have no clue what to expect.

Any advice? We would plan to get there at park opening and use the EMH for sure, but it will be our last park day so we won't want to leave if it gets too crowded since our other MK day is an early night too (another party night).

It's our last day there as well and we planned MK for that day. I almost always flock to the EMH days and I've never seemed to have an issue. It never got a point where I thought leaving the park would be a better option since the crowds never seemed too big. I think the evening EMH are worse. If people aren't early birds, the AM hours won't get as many people into the park as the PM ones would. With MK closing early that night, I think more people would go to DHS on Friday since they have PM EMH.

I hate crowds. If I needed another MK day, I'd probably pick Thursday if Th and Fr were my two options. Tough call though.

I hate crowds too. We try to pick quieter times of the year because we won't wait longer than 30 minutes for a ride. We will leave if lines get too long. Even mid-afternoon on EMH days, we haven't typically had problems. I never noticed a difference in lines when hopping from an EMH park to a non EMH park. Maybe its just the times of year we go though!
