Week after Thanksgiving - choosing days

We are thinking of making a quick trip out the week after Thanksgiving, so we can see holiday decorations without all the crowds. We will have time for two full park days. However, our family has a disagreement about which days to go!

Here is a snapshot of the debate - would love any opinion that tips the scales!

Wed/Thur, 11/28&29 - slightly cheaper flights and hotel rates, lowest crowds, probably no fireworks
Thur/Fri, 11/29&30 - better chance of fireworks (Friday), fewer days off work with the later departure

Is it a coin flip? To me, the biggest factor is always crowds. I'm worried that Friday might be packed. Crowd calendars definitely show it busier than wed/thurs. But will it be a big enough difference that it's worth taking an extra day off work and missing fireworks to avoid crowds?

TIA!

Crowds are best avoided by opening up the morning on Wednesday, and the wednesday of your visit and the the first Wednesday in December may very well be the last best Wednesdays of 2018.

Fireworks....a better choice of flipping the coin..... to determine what will the wind do to cancellation of fireworks.

Cheaper flights......all those Disneyland holiday treats....are now free from the airfare savings.....who does not like free....especially at Disneyland....especially rice krispee snowmen, sitting on main street curb, melting those snowmen in the glass of milk.....in the Californina sunshine......though if it was like last year....the snowmen may melt before you find a place to sit.

I hadn’t even considered the possibility of fireworks being canceled. Good point!

And I am LOLing about the snowmen!

Hey! We'll be there too! We're doing three days the week after Thanksgiving and decided to bite the bullet, take time off work and kids out of school and hit Tuesday-Thursday. Missing fireworks isn't a huge deal for us, we always pick lower crowds!

We ended up choosing Wed/Thurs park days with a half day on Tuesday arrival day. Really excited to see the holidays at the parks without the crowds or the steepest prices!
