Week after Easter 2017?

I just looked at the school calendar for our local districts and all of them have off the week leading up to Easter for Passover. My kids go to a Catholic school and we've historically had off the week after Easter. What are other schools looking like for this time? Just trying to see if this would be a good time to plan a short trip.

Just do a Google search for "2017 School Calendar ____________" And insert a major city into the blank. In about 15 minutes you will be able to figure out what Boston, Philadelphia, New York, Hartford, Baltimore, Atlanta, Charlotte, and a half dozen other areas are doing. You are likely to find no definite trend. For example, Hartford has the week before Easter off, and Boston has the week after Easter off.

Well this thread just totally bummed me out! DD goes to public high school, and I teach in Catholic middle school. She has a huge high school softball trip to Disney World next year over Easter Break (her senior year). When I read this I decided to double check our break dates. Nooooooooo! Her break is the week before Easter. Mine will probably be the week after Easter. I will probably not get to go on the trip with her.

Boston public schools, and several other MA cities and towns, always have the week of Patriot's Day (Marathon Monday) off. For 2017 it's the week after Easter, and Boston schools have Good Friday off too.

NYC public get out for spring break on Friday, April 7 and return Wednesday, April 19.

Typically, when Easter is around the second week of April, WDW will be crowded. Districts that move their break around to coincide with Easter will be off then, and the districts in the Northeast that keep their breaks static in April will also be off. So it will be a merger of the Northeast with many, many other areas of the country. This year, the areas of the country that had their break around Easter resulted in crowd levels of 8-10. And the Northeast with its breaks later in April resulted in crowd levels of 7-9. Next year, these two will be combined.
