Week after Christams Free Dining?

We last went to Disney the week after Christmas 2007 and loved it! They offered free dining at that time. From what Ive been able to tell, it was the old dining plan. Have they offered it since then for that same week? If so, when would a code come out?

Last year, they expanded free dining but it ended not long before Christmas.

The week between Christmas and New Year's is probably the busiest week of the entire year; with them cutting back on discounts this year, I truly doubt they would "need" to even offer free dining that week.

They already closed the free dining offer for 2011 in December of 2010; they have offered some small dribs and drabs of free dining, but nothing like what people expected and they are slow in coming.

The last day for free dining 2010 was Dec 21, but as long as you check in that day, you could have it for the entire stay, otherwise there was no offer past that.

The Dec offers haven't been releases yet, they just released one for Oct, so maybe Dec will come in a month or so.

Good to know, thank you. We're currently booked to be there 12/25 through 12/30, but if a deal like that came up, I would totally shift my reservation back and make it work somehow. Fingers crossed!

We did that last year, then DH lost his job, so we had to cut the trip to the bare bones and lost out on free dining. Not sure what we will do this year, since DH is now back in the Army Reserves, it gives us a few more options, but we have quite a few TS restaurants we want to go to this year.

There is no telling. The first of the fall specials has just come out. They did offer some free dining packages for that time already, so there is no way to tell what else will be offered this year.

When Disney feels ready to implement their next promotion they will do so. If other recent promotions have been any indication, for about the first month nobody will really understand it and the Marketing people will not have thought out all the ramifications.

Last December starting around the 20th there was a discount on counter service. I Think it was 30% off before 11:30 am and between 2 pm and 4pm. I am probably off on the times but it was before the lunch rush and then again before the dinner rush. You had to buy an entree and then everything ( except alcohol) was 30%off. It was a great saving.

I had some of those, but always ended up missing it because of the times on it. For us those were weird times to eat, but I do get the point of why they did that.

I am going down January 2-8. I was wondering if they have offered any free dining in the past the first week after the holiday season since it is their value season?

I doubt it, but that particular week is going to be busy in 2012, because most schools are still out until Jan 9th and that weekend is marathon weekend.

Now there's the $64.000 question! Many folks would like and answer on that!

The big group of discounts for 2011 did not include free dining past the first of October (or the first few days anyway). It did not include time periods past that point for free dining. It HAS been offered Oct to mid-December the last couple of years, but traditionally has not been announced until July or August.

Free dining the week of Christmas though? Unless you can check in a number of days before Christmas, I think the ONE thing you'll get consensus on here is that it won't happen.
