Wednesday parties

I'm a new DVC member and I've seen the sign for a party for DVC members. What kind of stuff goes on at these parties? I'm leaving AKV on Thursday am and just want to know if it's worth going to or if I should just stay at MK. Thanks.

Welcome Home Wednesday's are every wednesday at the Boardwalk. It's something fun to do at least once. We planned our Epcot day on Wednesday and just walked over then headed back to Epcot. They play mock Jeopardy and it's pretty entertaining! Our whole family enjoyed it. They gave everyone who attended snacks and DVC baseball hats. I don't think I'd go to it if I was having fun at The Magic Kingdom, but if you're at DHS or Epcot it's worth a visit.

I agree with superwendy. We have done it 3 times when it was convenient. It's a fun way to get out of the sun for an hour and have a quick snack but I wouldn't leave MK for it. They hand out DVC pins and door prizes. I was given a DVC tote bag, hat and t-shirt after being picked for the game show.
