Wedge pillow question...HELP

Due to stomach and back issues I sleep with a wedge pillow. I leave on Saturday and just realized my wedge pillow is to big for my suitcase, ugh! Does anyone know if I can "rent" one or the best place to purchase a low cost one? Thanks!

Where did you get the one you have?
Was it a medical type item or did you get it from somewhere more mainstream, like Walmart or Target?

CARE Medical, which has contact information listed in post 2 of the disABILITIES FAQs thread, is a full service medical equipment supplier. You could try them, although I doubt you could rent a wedge.

Also, contact your airline. You may still be able to ship the wedge as luggage even though it doesn't fit in your suitcase.

Have you tried putting it in one of those large space bag vacuum bags. I use one for mine but mine isn't real big. Housekeeping has always let me borrow a vacuum for a few minutes when we pack up to leave

I agree with both posters above. I would try a vacume bag and then call the airline and make them aware that this is a medical device that you must have and see how they recommend you package it. I would think that they should be able to work with you. One one of our flights a girls was flying with a cello and she was able to send it with luggage ( she had to pay extra, but of course a cello is not a medical device ). I only mention that because it was a such a large item and they were able to help her.

I have been traveling with an inflatable wedge pillow for a few years now. It's not the perfect solution (think about how it is to sleep on an air mattress), but I haven't come up with anything better. I make it more comfortable by using all the extra pillows in the room. I went with one of the cheaper pillows (around $30), I've since wondered if getting a more expensive one would pay off.
If you want to go this route, possibly you could try ordering it and having it shipped to your resort, or find someplace that will overnight it to your home before you leave.
