Dilemmas make the world go wrong lol​

So, although I got my mother and father a gift to disneyworld (the gift card) I really wanted to get a personal gift to my mother and father...

So, at first, I wanted to do what every other bride does:

And get the "mothers loving touch" lenox figurine....

But here is the problem... My mother is not just my mum, she is my best friend. And, shes rather young and she's not the "traditional" mother of the bride...

Then last weekend, she had a major issue with my sister and needed to get out. So, last minute we decided, mani-pedi-massage and coffee

While out, we went into this quaint little store that I love (that one of my childrens fathers own) called HEart to heart and we saw this:

Now, the girl has blond hair but by god, the woman looks like my mother when she was young and the little girl was wearing a dress....

Its called "seaside stroll" and my whole life was spent with my mother and I on the beach. Her mothers day gift was a beach tote with a bathing suit flip flops etc... beachy...

So, I did a little panic.....because atthe same time, I really really wanted to get her something personal as the mother of the bride...

But then, everyone said "but don't you want to give her the "mother and bride" lenox you will only be getting married once? and I got upset because, although the mother and bride is absolutely beautiful, its not "us"

The seaside stroll I can paint the childs hair too! I have the paint!!! Same as the one for the cake topper but I have it!

So...

drum roll please...

I bought the seaside stroll after asking vin. he agreed that thebride and mother is not me and my mum and that I should most definitely get that one for her!

So... what do you girls honestly think? Did I make the right choice? or get the bride and mother!

haha i work in archive storage warehouse and we store files and boxes for the government, solicitors, banks, hospitals, insurance companies and even companies like GMTV (uk morning tv show), MSNBC and CNN. In our building alone we have around 4million boxes of files!

The files that i was dealing with today are from the Finacial Ombudsman and its just basically just files of when people make a complaint about a bank charge!

TMI hehee!!

you have got the one that suits you and your mums relationship best!!! It'd be wrong to get the other one if it doesnt have meaning to you both hun! Sod what everyone else thinks, they dont know what your relationship is like and every mother daughter relationship is different (mines crap!)

I think its really sweet and its great that you can paint the hair!

YOu know how everyone says every bride loses weight before their wedding?

Well, its definitely true. Maybe I should get married once a year!

I have been SO hungry, eating NON STOP and today, I get on the scale and I have lost 2 lbs since Sunday

I kid you not. YEsterday I had pizza, more pizza and then some more...

And then a black and white cookie (I LOVE THEM THINGS!!)

And today, I have a bagle (whole wheat plain of course) BUT STILL...what is going on??

Oh and an update on the job situation... I HAVE ONE FOR NEXT YEAR!!

I will probably be moving rooms though.. but thats OKAY

the whole wheat sesame is even better-they have them at dyker bagels which is my favorite bagel shop!

I woke up,
And slipped on my slipper...
And FLEW not just hit, FLEW into my bed post...

Three hours later, I cant straighten my leg..

Thanks to the gym teacher who gave me ice packs!

Ooo I never got bagels there! I always go to the place on 3rd avenue, across from Pilo Arts. Unfortunately they are the only ones who make their whole wheat bagels from 100% whole wheat, the others add white bread which makes me sick darn yeast and gluten

that place is good also. i went to pilo for a massage once-my cousins-cousins work there.(my cousins father is married to my aunt and they are his nieces) and went across the street for a bagel. i wonder if you know my cousins-the koulreoudis'? my oldest cousin is 23. they live on the same block as you basically.

OMG! keep it elevated and with ice. make sure if it hurts to get it checked out ASAP! your wedding is so close, you can't be limping! 3 days before my BFFs wedding, i fell down the stairs at work and got a bone bruise which is seriously so painful-that was in oct and i am still not fully healed. it hurt like HELL to walk down the isle for her wedding. just watch it and be careful! sending some healing your way-

You may have bruised ligments or something in your leg... its good to keep some ice on it though, so it doesnt swell or bruise.

well there is nothing they can do for a bone bruise but PT. I went to PT for about 2 months and it helped. seriously with your wedding a month and half a way go to the doctor and get an MRI ASAP so this way if it is a bone bruise you can start PT. after a month of PT it felt better.

my cousins are 1/2 greek and 1/2 italian but they were raised greek. it might be them.

Wow Jenny soooo many updates! I love the new cake topper and I definately think that the "stroll on the beach" figurine is the right one for you and your mom! She will love it! Now I'm worried about the leg... way too close to the wedding for this sort of thing- I guess we will just have to wrap you in bubble wrap!!! For real though keep it iced and elevated for the next 48 hours then switch to heat. Probably isn't broken (hopefully) but I'm sure you've damaged all the soft tissue and possibly bruised the bone. You'll probably develop a hematoma (which is a large collection of blood under the skin). Take care of yourself and keep us updated

i understand. i am jewish and my stepmom is catholic and we also celebrate all the holidays. my fiancee is catholic as is my brother in law. i love celebrating all the holidays! we are not greek at all and don't really celebrate the greek holidays.

they are also on 10th. i always forget if its 82 and 83 or 83 and 84 as the cross streets though. my cousins are very handsome and tall. you can't miss them.
