I already centered the names but here is a "vision" of what I'm working on for my invites...

Honest opinions guys... I wanted a elegant invite. I didn't want it to SCREAM beach because that annoys me. i have seen others and I LOVE them but for me, it's just not my thing lolol

So, as you all already know, I am planning loads of things for Vin for our Honeymoon.

See,(Warning: mushy text ahead. Do not read if you feel like barfing) I am sure I've said this before, but I Truly feel blessed to have found a man like him in my life. He can build a house from scratch, do electrical, is religious, has values, loves children ,a hard worker and is old fashioned...

He is, in my head, the ideal man. We've been together for 5 years (almost) and he STILL holds the door for me when I get into the car!!!! He will never change.... because this is how his father is and therefore I feel blessed...

When it comes to surprises... HE IS THE KING of surprises!! I mean, it just never stops... and so I wanted to take the time for the honeymoon... to really make him know just how valued our lives together will be...

Okay so.. .Thanks to Lurkyloo's anniversary dinner thread, I am obsessed. I would LOVE to do that for Vin and have him know just how happy and blessed I am to have him, and just continue to keep the surprises coming. Yes, 400.00 is alot... but, heck... we literally saved so much on our wedding and on our honeymoon i feel like all these little things.... are wayyy worth while.. if that makes sense?

So here is where I ask my lovelies on the dis boards to give me feedback...

Do you think I'm over doing it? Or, is it just another nice thing to do?

<3

Jen, i love those invites! I love seashells and anything beachy--and that blue is a gorgeous color!

About the dinner, if you can afford that, then go for it!!

If not, then this is a great idea for your 1 year anniversary trip/dinner.

BUT, if you can, don't hold back from planning extra surprises, this is your wedding/honeymoon afterall, only happens once!;)

Jay's out in Hauppauge, and work is at Stony Brook University, so i'm always between Queens and suffolk all the time. And thanks for LIweddings.com, i'm allover that now!! :woohoo:

And, oh my good lord -- the Ken doll is hilarious!! :rotfl:

I think you should totally do whatever your heart desires...as long as it's in your budget i guess -- personally, i feel that the more you do, the more memories you'll have. When's the next time you'll be able to do that anyways? ya know?

Yes you girls are right!
Lets see next month if it will be in budget i have way too many secret things vin doesnt know where the money is going!!

I love the idea jen!! See how your money goes!!! :)

Also love the invites!! :teeth:

Ok Jen, I just read through all 37 pages or whatever it is of your PJ b/c I'm bored at work and felt like it

First of all, love the engagement story. So cute! I'm a HUGE fan of Snapple Peach tea.... yummm.

Second, I hope your mom is doing alright these days.

Third, love the hat you made for Catholic Schools week. I went to Catholic School and always had fun with the different themes!

Fourth, all of your gifts for Vin are fantastic. I would love to do something special for DF but he refuses to admit he has a FAVORITE disney movie or character!

Fifth, your invites are so nice! To me, they don't SCREAM beach, but still go nicely with your theme!

Sixth, oh yeah, the engagement pics came out beautiful!!!

Seventh, I totally want that tea length Maggie Sotero dress for my at-home reception or dessert party. It would be the perfect compliment to my actual dress.

Ok, done with the numbers, but wanted to add you really are incredibly crafty! I'm pretty good at craft execution but have a hard time thinking of what to do! So thanks for all the wonderful ideas! :goodvibes

oh and i forgot, I got an offer from the Disney Movie Club yesterday. www.disneymovieclub.go.com Purchase 4 movies in 2 years and get 4 for a $1.99 each when you sign up. If you use a disney visa you get an additional discount on the $1.99 movies! :thumbsup2

Just wanted to say love the tattoo! I am keeping a pic of it because I wanted something sort of the same to it but a little different.

OMG i love you you just made my day!!!!!!!!! YAy i don't bore people!
The movie club sounds awesome!

Mums been out of it lately...pushed herself way too hard trying to "tighten" her stomach and hurt herself internally...jerky lol

Just wanted to say love the tattoo! I am keeping a pic of it because I wanted something sort of the same to it but a little different.

Thank you!! Its so awesome, just above the flip flop so i always get compliments in the summer!

Warning though-worst pain ever. the tatoo artist was trying to talk me out of it:rotfl:

So, yesterday was long...

I literally cut out every single invite and centered it onto a mat of sand colored paper and then placed them inside each of the pocket folds along with the raffia under the seashell lol

From 230- 103- I basically almost finished everything! Of course the color ink ran out but thats okay!:lmao:

I also signed up for the disney Visa card! Im figured this would be easier if I decide next month to book that illuminations dessert party at Epcot for Vin. THe way I am looking at it is, we may not be able to renew our vows in two years. Something may come up, we may buy a house. ANd vin mentioned when we renew our vows he would love a little girl to wear a princess costume (our little one of course) and that would be quite a while from now lolol

So I am thinking/leaning more towards going nuts. The man spent a small fortune on my ring the least I could do is something awesome for him (I did buy him that Thomas Kinkade Cinderellas castle...but thats all paid off already lol)

I know if he knew how, he would surprise me with hundreds of things for the honeymoon, so why not right??

Okay so, Today is random meetings at work and Im not sure if ill be able to finish the invites but if I do I promise to take pictures and send them your way!

Hope everyone has a happy thursday....Almost friday!

You're getting so much done! Congrats! I definitely vote for spoiling him... I'm trying to figure out ways to spoil my DF too, but as he is not as into Disney merchandise as me, it's a little more difficult... But, I'm working on it! Yay for great DF's!! :thumbsup2

You know it is so hard to get stuff done when you have work and meetings and such...

I am trying to spoil/surprise my DF but he too is not a really big Disney fan. He is doing it for me so I will figure something out. I was thinking about maybe doing a DP for our close families because his family hasn't been and would really enjoy it.

I say go for it! After the wedding and honeymoon and life starts it is going to be busy and like you said you may not get to do your VR when you plan to.

Happy almost friday to you as well! :cool1: :cool1:

Neither was vin until lately! lol. What about non disney surprises like his favorite things? A nice shirt?

The DP seems to be the best thing. I feel like its such a wonderful experience and maybe just once in a lifetime!

Less then 4 months to go Jen!! Yippee! I agree, if you want a special night for the 2 of you, then do it! Its your trip, and Vinnie sounds like he is worth surprising!

Hey Jen. Have not been on in a while since work is CRAZY! Trying to catch up on your PJ-so excited for you that you keep finding the stuff for Vin. I'm sorry to hear about Vin. Hope everything is ok. Still so awesome that he drew the card for your bday-he sounds like a keeper!

My favorite Disney movie of all time is Beauty and the Beast-my DFs is Pirates of the Carribean. Both def worth watching again and again (since Tom subjects to Pirates at least once a week!) haha-

Invitations are DONE!

So, since the Disboards were down for a while, I decided to not be an obsessive stalker, and instead become obsessed with something else...

My invites! I finally finished them all. Of course we are having issues with the guest list now, since vin and I told his mom that we are only allowed to hav 45 people on each side, She is now going into panic mode... continuously saying "But what about MY list"...Um, why dont you go aheadand make my tummy even worse :(

Anyway, back to the invitations......

THey are all printed, glued and ready to send out. Vin is deciding (because he is a very involved groom....cough...zilla) Whether we are getting photo stamps (Doesn't everyone throw the outer envelope away?) or regular stamps. Since our invites are square and heavy we have to add even more extra postage! But its all worth it!

I promise to post pictures soon!

We also found out that my text return will rather nice so, NOW once I get my disney visa, I get to book more secret surprises!!! Its time for banana man!
