I had a question. I don't have FB nor do I want to start it up. So if I do a regular wedding website are my guests able to order their tickets and make their reservations from there or does it have to be through FB? Thanx.

Not sure how you were planning on linking your own website to Disney so they can purchase the tickets. So I guess the answer is no, you have to go through FB.

this probably isn't a help, but just FYI - our "disney wedding website" (not the new FB one, never really worked? it actually never ever updated to allow guests to make purchases online for tickets etc..., folks had to call. i came to the understanding, via my 1st planner and her assistant, that actually people had to call up to purchase the park passes. i don't know if that was true. i also found the FB instructions confusing and never did anything with that.

you can make any ol' wedding website and add links, though.

i have to say, though, that i found that no matter what i linked or wrote in newsletters, basically noone retained that knowledge, so just keep that in mind!

good luck deciding what to do! :confused3:thumbsup2

From what I believe, the FB page is accessible from anyone, if you have a FB account or not. You just won't be able to use the social tools, but you are able to purchase tickets, set up RSVP's and so on.

which? The website or the FB page? the websites are no longer available. The FB page I was sent an email to set it up.

FYI none of my guests have RSVP'd or anything through my FB page. I doubt any of them have actually looked at it. Probably ignored it like I do with the Farmville stuff!

I would HIGHLY suggest not using the FB website. IT IS TERRIBLE! I have had so many people coming to me saying they cannot access it. I would do one of the free ones out there. We did ours through mywedding.com instead. It became a huge pain tho because our save the date still said it was the one on facebook. I made sure our wedding newsletter said our site had been changed in HUGE print!

Bottom line, if I could do it over, I would NEVER have gone through facebook!

Thank you everyone for your feedback. I'm probably going to go with another wedding website and just have my guests call in for their reservations or add the links. I'm glad I'm not forced to use FB.
