wedding song

My fiance and I just decided on the First Dance song for our reception. We know that it is sung by a teen pop group, but they have good voices and if you really listen to the song, then it will come out with a beautiful and wonderful meaning.

The song is called: With All My Heart and it is sung by the boyband: Dream Street

Some of you guys should listen to this song. It is very touching. Infact, here are the lyrics to the song:

Late at night, awake and alone
I count the stars in the sky
Every cloud that rolls by
and I think of you, I whisper, I wish
With everything that I am
I'll do all that I can

'Cause baby I, I just want you to see
That baby you mean the whole world to me

(Chorus)
It's so right
When I see the love in your eyes
All that I wanna do
Baby is to spend my life with you
and I know
As long as there is tomorrow
I'll be loving you right from the start
With all my heart

I can't believe what's happened to me
You stepped right out of my dream
Like nothing I'd ever seen
And I will love you...for the rest of my life
'til forever is gone
You'll be the one

Woh-Oh, 'Cause baby I (Baby I, Baby I...) never thought I would say
That baby you (Baby You) are my night and my day

It's so right
When I see the love in your eyes
All that I wanna do
Baby is to spend my life with you
and I know
As long as there is tomorrow
I'll be loving you right from the start
With all my heart

Woh-Oh-Oh, I know I'll be strong (I'll be strong, I'll be strong, baby)
With you in my arms (I want you in my arms)
Heaven brought us here together
We belong like this forever.

It's so right
When I see the love in your eyes
All that I wanna do
Baby is to spend my life with you
and I know
As long as there is tomorrow
I'll be loving you right from the start (With all my heart)
It's so right
When I see the love in your eyes
All that I wanna do
Baby is to spend my life with you
And I know
As long as there is tomorrow
I'll be loving you right from the start
With all my heart

(With all my heart, With all my heart)

-------------------------I Hope that you will get your wedding song dilema fixed soon.

I just watched Lady and the Tramp 2 and they have a duet version of Bella Notte at the end. It was very nice. I would look into it.:earsgirl:

We also we're in the same boat, we're getting married 1/17/04 and still didn't have a song. Well going though a bump last weekend, (we're putting on an addition to his house, I'm moving and kids are changing shcools oh did I mention the holidays are coming?) Anyway, I hung up my cell phone and on came a song on the radio by Don Henley - Taking You Home. I got to Mike's house downloaded onto the computer let him hear it and we had our song. It was perfect for us.

I hope this helped, I guess we just needed to step out of the love song box and look else where.

Robb and I just got married 2 weeks ago and used Avril Lavignes "I'm With You" as our first dance song. A lot of people were skeptical about it at first but we got so many compliments about the song after our dance! I'm even editing together our wedding video to that song and it looks great! (I'll post it here when it's all done...still waiting on a few more pictures) For our last dance we used "At Last" by Eda James. We're not dancing people, we had never danced before and probably never will again, but it was nice and worked out just fine. We had Sean McCabe (sp?) as our Disney DJ...he was good. A little odd at first when we were talking about what we wanted in the way of music...kept telling us how it wasn't normal wedding stuff, and we kept telling him that this isn't a normal wedding! He ended up playing everything we wanted, not playing what we didn't want and even commented that he ended up having a good time even though it wasn't "his sort of wedding".

My DH's best friend always joked with his fiance that their first dance would be to "I've Got You Babe" by Sonny & Cher. When they got married, everyone was shocked that they selected, "Two Out of Three Ain't Bad" by Meatloaf. The marriage didn't last to their first anniversary. :(

RUDisney - Now those are firsts I have ever heard of as a first dance at a wedding . LOL

:hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

We will be getting married in Disney 3/8/04 and for our fisrt dance we picked Celine Dion "Have you ever been in love", We were going to pick another song by Alabahma called "how do you fall in love" or "keeper of the stars" by ?? can't remeber at this time but it is a country singer.

:earsgirl: :earsboy:

all this clay aiken talk...just had to pop in and give you my 2 cents worth!!

dh and i didn't have a traditional wedding reception...so we had no first dance. but if we would have had our first dance, it would have been to atlantic starr's always. that was our song when we were together in high school way back in the late 80's!

we were married in a chapel in orlando (sept of 2002) and then went immediately back to our hotel at WDW...anyway, we used the disney instrumental cd that someone else had mentioned. i walked down the aisle to the beauty and the beast theme song and practically played the entire cd for the ceremony. i love that cd! it's no longer available in stores so you'll have to get it off of ebay. i think it's called disney's instrumental impressions. here's the playlist...you can hear snippets of the first few songs on amazon.com.

1. Beauty and the Beast
2. Someday My Prince Will Come
3. If I Never Knew You
4. So This Is Love
5. Bella Notte
6. Love Is a Song
7. Can You Feel the Love Tonight?
8. Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes
9. Whole New World
10. Endless Nights
11. Part of Your World
12. Something There
13. Lavender Blue
14. When You Wish upon a Star

(clay fans...feel free to visit our clay thread on the community board!) a few of my personal favorite clay songs would be this is the night...or the way...or love of my life. (i'm listening to it right now!) his voice is amazing...

best wishes to all the brides and grooms out there!!

I can't find the Clay Aiken place, can you help me? Also, I used to have a clip of Clay's "you are the love of my life" and now I can't seem to find it again. Can you help me with that too-I loooove that song!

oh my goodness...i've been listening to an all clay aiken radio station (i know..i'm a nerd!)...anyway, there's been this song i've heard several times that just gives me warm fuzzies when i hear it...it's called i will be here. it was originally done by steven curtis chapman...here are the lyrics...but i have to say that i love clay's version!!

I WILL BE HERE
by Steven Curtis Chapman
Tomorrow morning if you wake up
And the sun does not appear
I will be here

If in the dark we lose sight of love
Hold my hand and have no fear
'Cause I will be here

I will be here
When you feel like being quiet
When you need to speak your mind
I will listen

And, I will be here
When the laughter turns to crying
Through the winning, losing, and trying
We'll be together
'Cause I will be here

Tomorrow morning if you wake up
And the future is unclear
I will be here

As sure as seasons are made for change
Our lifetimes are made for years
So, I will be here

I will be here
You can cry on my shoulder
When the new tells us we're older
I will hold you

And I will be here
To watch you grow in beauty
And tell you all the things you are to me
I will be here

I will be true
To the promise I have made
To you and to the One
Who gave you to me

I will be here

And, just as sure as seasons are made for change
Our lifetimes are made for years
So, I will be here
We'll be together
I will be here

Me and my Fi haven't decided between "I Knew I Loved You" by Savage Garden and "Crusin' Together" by Hewy Lewis and Gweneth Paltrow. I'm also thinking about "Wonderful Tonight". The dance with my dad will be to "Unforgetable."

My dad & I danced to "Baby Mine" from Dumbo. It was a perfect reminder of all my childhood vacations. One of the local beaches had a Dumbo ride on the boardwalk & I ALWAYS convinced him to let me bounce Dumbo!!

Last weekend The Princess Bride was on cable. I love the song at the end... Our love is like a storybook story... If I had to pick a new song that would be high on my list!

If you are into Disney's Cinderella, James Ingram sings a version of "So This Is Love." That was our wedding song a few years ago. It's really nice! Good Luck!princess:
