Wedding Scrapbook Swap???

Since we dont have very much interest and this is most of our first time-- do you think maybe its better if we just pick 1 single theme-- we all do it-- we all send it to the host (you) and then you send them back out but make sure no one gets their own? Woudl that work for our first time around-- doing that? Im so new to this and totally dont understand all the kinks so please let me know if this wont work out.

Well, how it would work is each person would sign up for a saying and then you would make a title piece with that saying. Then you would pick from a list of embelishments and make one of those as well. So there would be no page making, just the elements to send out for someone to make their own page.

SO if there are 6 girls, you would make six titles that say "I DO", then 6 tags (for example), and then send them to me. All of the other girls would have made a different title and a different element. So when you get your package there will be enough stuff to make six pages with different titles for each one and a different element to add to each page (ie, tags, frames, shaker box, file folder, ext.).

To make it very simple we could all do a title, 4x6 frame, and tag. We would just pick our own title, so that that would be our "theme". So if I pick "cut the cake" I would make a title for each page that says "cut the cake". Then I would make a 4x6 frame, and then a tag with a little cake on it or something. I would do that 6 times, one for each.

Does that make more sense? So if there are six girls at the end of the swap you will have 6 titles, 6 frames, and 6 tags to begin your Disney Wedding Scrapbook!!!!

Sounds great!! Now i wont be needing the Maid of Honor, Best Man, & Rehearsal Dinner -- lol (What a loser I sound like).... lol so would i be better off making one of those ?

I'd like to try....I haven't done anything scrapbook related in a few years, and I gave my stuff to my sister before I moved to FL.....I don't even remember what to do!!! If you don't mind getting a few crappy things from me the first time 'round, I'd consider joining in!
How often would we do this?? My schedule at work is a bit crazy at times and I don't always have a lot of free time to get supplies and sit and work on something, so I'd hate to "sign up" and not be able to keep up with the pace...(did I mention I don't know what I'm doing????)

Ok, you got me!
I was sort of thinking about it in my previous post, but I've had some down-time here at work and was checking out some scrapbooking sites and I'm getting excited about it!
Plus, it will motivate me to start an book now, rather than after the wedding when I've got a million pictures and am too overwhelmed!!!
I may even have to make a little trip on my day off on Monday to get some supplies.....anyone have any suggestions?

Maggie...I don't think I'll be needing Best Man or Rehearsal Dinner pages either! Don't feel bad!
I guess we can also do some honeymoon type pages? Or pages for different parks/attractions - assuming most of us are spending a few days in WDW!

I suggest Hobby Lobby-- they have good scrapbooking stuff and you can normally get a coupon off the internet for there.

Im sure canada will be okay but we should probobly find out from Vistaleigh'smommy

Yeah i think the majority of us if not all enjoy the parks as part of the perk of getting married in WDW... so im sure honeymooning pages might work too!

I think "Cut the cake" is a good one because everyone at disney cuts the cake at some point-- regaurdless if your intimate or custom
