Hi this is my first post! My fiance and I got engaged three days ago. It was so romantic, but unfortunately it didn't happen at Disney. So, we're having our wedding at Disney! Here's my question, did you ladies have a theme for your wedding other than the "Disney" theme? Like did you have a Cinderella theme or Pirates of the Carribbean for example? :)

I didn't...but I almost did!

Actually, our first choice was to get married at Sunset Point so my original plan was to have a Hawaiian themed wedding. We had picked out matching "outfits" from some websites, I had decided on a tropical bouquet, and we were going to wear the Hawaiian wedding leis.

Then we switched to Sea Breeze Point...and I ended up just doing a very casual "summer" wedding.

The great thing about Disney is that you can have a fantastic theme if you want one, and if you don't your wedding can be as traditional as any other (it's just that the locations are a little better!;) )

Df and I chose to get married on a Disney Cruise next year but we were considering getting married at WDW prior to that. If we were going to get married there we weren't going to have a theme necessarily but we were considering The Living Seas as a venue and since df loves 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea we were going to incorperate the famous Nautilus somehow, whether in favors, placecards, etc.

welcome and CONGRATULATIONS!!!

DF and I are planning a reception at home around the holidays, we're doing a disney theme, but more specifically -- disney couples/movies. Each table (20) is going to be a different disney couple, decorated with their movies' characters. Instead of table numbers, I want to find jpgs of the dvd covers :lovestruc

Our head table, cake table and gift table will be decorated with Nightmare before Christmas (Df's top fav). Love it. I mean, it may be pretty cheesy, but its ours!!

hope this helps...

oh, my bridal shower hosts have already divulged (the only detail they're telling me, i'm told) that my colors will be violet and silver and the theme is fairies. LOOOOVE it. Since I"m so into fantasy/scifi and tink, this is perfect!
