Wedding plastic chairs changed again?

I remember at the beginning of the year the plastic chairs ysed for outdoor ceremonies were changed to much more attractive folding plastic chairs, this was great news for me because I was going to save some $ from upgrading to folding wooden chairs.

I have just seen on a trip report of a guest staying in the Yacht Club, a wedding at the yacht club gazebo and they were the oldstyle chairs?

It must have been a wishes wedding as there were so many chairs set up. Have the chairs changed back?

I don't see why they would spend all of that money to buy new chairs and then switch back to the older ones. Is it possible you were reading an older TR? Or perhaps she just started it, but really got married awhile ago?

Nope its a trip report from this summer - I double checked!

I remember on an older thread that Disney only had 40 of the newer folding plastic chairs. Perhaps the wedding TR you saw had more than 40 guests which would warrant the old chairs. Just a thought!

Maybe it was because of the number of chairs needed? Now I'm wishing I asked to see a pic of the chairs that will be used.

I think I'm going to do that - if they can't guarantee the plastic folding type I will upgrade to the wooden ones (used in raspberrybubbles wedding).

I have only ever seen the new folding chairs at Sea Breeze Pointe. Another possibility could be that Disney has different sets of chairs for Yacht Club gazebo and SBP, since the BoardWalk and Yacht Club are so far away from each other and the chairs probably live in storage rooms at their respective resorts.

Thanks That makes more sense. Will factor the upgrade into my plans, and hopefully by next December they have updated all the seats
