I had one, primarily b/c we got married on the beach so it was helpful to have a professional work out all the logistics, prepare plan B in case it rained, etc.
I don't think she was that expensive. Around $2500, and that also included having her there at the wedding and reception. (Don't recall if that also included chair rentals, etc, for the ceromony as we got that stuff from her too).
