HELP! I just got a few emails from my wedding planner. We had a phone conference with my mother 4/12... I just heard back from her today concerning the changes we were looking to make. 4/25 - two weeks without any indication what she was working on when i was told to expect a new BEO in within a week....

Since we signed the contract, I feel as if every time i get an email from the planner, I want to CRY. over the phone she sounds great and on the same page with me as to what i want to do and what she has to look into for me...

....her email responses show she may not have listened at all to what i had to say.....

I am a little over 4 months out and can no longer feel as if i am not getting the proper care for the WISHES / MAGIC KINGDOM wedding that we are paying for!

I feel as if i have given her a chance to change and correct her errors....
They have not been fixed and often times cause more issues to arise in planning...

Any suggestions as to HOW to possibly change planners?
What number to call to go over her head on this one?
How to possibly make a change that will NOT affect other planners?
Basically i need some help and support from other disney brides who understand the process that we go through since the choices available are so vast and often unique!

Help TIA!

i totally understand the frustration. if you feel though that there is a connection in person/or on the phone, i would advise that you try and work through it? no, it shouldn’t be so discombobulated and yes, things should turn around quickly. but they kinda dont - and it (mostly) will absolutely all happen and get done! we didn’t have the true final BEO until like mid december or something. i’m positive we had nothing near anything within a month of our actual planning session.

not that i know all your particulars - and if you truly have a funky gut feeling, i wouldn’t talk you out of it - but, frighteningly, these pesky BEOs never ever seem to get done how and when they should, IMHO!

can you give a specific example of something that got “worse” when you tried to correct it (that you refer to in your post)?

hang in there!

We also waited weeks before getting updated BEO's and no communication between our calls and getting them, I figured it was normal and didn't have an issue with it unless I wanted something specific and then I would send another email. I think it's pretty typical when you're still 4 months out. I always had a sense of urgency, being from the north where things are done in a hurry, Disney has a lot of weddings going on and they can literally put things together within a matter of weeks, so the sense of urgency is not there for them until you are much closer.

I wouldn't worry about it until your BEOs are becoming final and you are making your 90 and 30 day payments. (Which 90 is coming up, so I sent emails to my planner and floral planner telling them I wanted the BEO's to be as close to actual as possible a few weeks before). By 90 days we were pretty set, and after that it was only small tweaks. Prior to that, the BEO's and constant communication was not non-existent, but certainly increased from 90 days on (we are now 10 days out and emails from my planner don't have more than a 2 day response time. Around 4-6 months it was at least several days up to 2 weeks at times to get a response.

Maybe check with Michelle that just had her MK wedding yesterday, but I know she changed to MK within a month or so of the wedding and Disney was able to make everything perfect within that time frame. They will get it done! While it is hard to wait for answers, they do know what they're doing, at least I believe that to be true :goodvibes
