Do you think you need something else besides the unity candle floral arrangement at the WP? Does anyone have pics to post????

The only other decor we added (in addition to the unity candle arrangement) were 4 pillars with flower arrangements on top at the ends of the first and fourth rows of pews. The flower arrangements also doubled as the centerpieces for the tables at our reception, so it was money well-spent IMO. I don't have pics of them online, but here is how they were described in my Disney Floral budget:

ceremony:
"Silver Revere bowls with mixed coordinating French floral arrangements of mostly white floral with accents of purple and lavender. Place on columns with ivory chiffon skirting at the front and 4th rows."

reception:
"Place the Revere bowls from the ceremony on each table. Accent with (6) shot-glass votives"

The arrangements were $100 each and the votives were $2.50 each for a grand total of $460. IMO, that's not bad at all considering we got decor for both the ceremony and reception for 1 price. The arrangements were BEAUTIFUL and I highly recommend going this route :) Along the same lines, our unity candle arrangement also doubled as the centerpiece for our sweetheart table at the reception.

Other than that, you really don't need to waste much money on decor at the WP--it is BEAUTIFUL as is.

My vow renewal ceremony inside the Wedding Pavilion was very simple. I wrote about it just today in another thread -- click here. Look for posts # 8 and # 11. I have a few links in those posts to a few photos.

The Wedding Pavilion is gorgeous on its own, have no fear.

I also think that the WP is beautiful on its own. Personally, I am not a fan of the pillars down the aisle. I contemplated pew bows, an aisle runner, and a runner for the altar. In the end, I didn't think it was worth the expense for 20 minutes. The room is gorgeous.

We are adding floral arrangements down the aisle at the WP. It is beautiful on it's own, but we will be using the aisle decoration for our centerpieces at the reception. Like Snow_White said, I think it's money well spent if you are already going to be spending $$$ for centerpieces. :wizard: Sorry I have no pictures!

The only floral we did for the WP was a unity candle arrangement and wreaths on every other pew (it was a Christmas themed wedding). We were then able to transfer the unity candle arrangement to the head table at the reception, and we put the wreaths around the bases of the candelabras that held our floral arrangements on each table at the reception. It really is a beautiful venue.

We also used the white pillars ( 6 or 8 ) at the WP. We decided last min. to put them in. The WP is beautiful on it's own and you don't need anything but I felt it was missing something and I wanted my color of red/black magic roses added. We had a white bow with black magic roses and white cali lillies at the first row for the parents and the the pillars along the aisle. It was beautiful and I'm really glad we added it.

I hope you don't mind if we "borrow" your wreath idea...We will not have a unity candle, but will be using a menorah we purchased for last Chanukah (if the dates works out).

No, not at all! :) My EM suggested the idea, and we loved it. Best of all, they were very affordable compared to typical Disney floral prices.

Here is a picture of the wreaths on the pews:

Sorry the pictures are so dark—my scanner is really old! Keep in mind that prices have probably gone up by now (my wedding was back in 2003), but the wreaths were $28 each plus tax. Also, my EM suggested a wonderful idea that we ended up not using because we were crunched for time before the wedding. She suggested that we give the wreaths to certain guests that meant a lot to us (like our godparents, mentor, grandparents, etc.). I thought that was a lovely idea, I just never got the chance to use it.

I was thinking along the same lines or possibly donating them to a hospital or nursing home in the area. Thanks for sharing!!
