Hi girls

well I am deciding what to give my bridal party.. I was on the Knot today shopping around for gift ideas.. I am thinking a tote bag filled with cute girly stuff and for the guys maybe a flask and etc... But I am still confused on what to give.. So can you girls help me out and tell me what you gave.. thanks

i was MOH in my sister's wedding (way back in '96!), and she gave me a silver engraved jewelry box from Things Remembered...it has my name on it and says "Sisters are forever friends"...and inside it she put a necklace and earrings that i wore on her wedding day. i still use it and it's very special to me. don't remember what she gave the rest of the bridesmaids, but i know we all got the matching earrings/necklace.

i like your tote bag idea for the girls...maybe you can get their names monogrammed on the outside, and have each bag in the girl's favorite color, or use your wedding colors?

as for guys..they seem so much harder to buy for! we haven't thought much about it yet, but were thinking maybe a cool beer mug or stein??

I am doing a tote for my girls. But since we're not really girly, it's going to be a tote filled w/ beachy things. We all grew up on the beach so it's appropriate and my wedding is kind of beach themed. I'm trying to make most things that go into the tote orange or peach since those are my wedding colors. So far I have the tote from Land's End, an orange and white striped beach towel from Target, orange flip flops from Old Navy, and a tank top w/ "Bridemaid 6.25.07" written on it in orange. I am also going to put sunscreen, chapstick, books from the favorite author/ their favroite magazine, and their favorite candy in the bag

I think giving them jewelry to wear on the wedding day is also a nice idea. I decided not to do it b/c my girls all have such different styles that I did not want to give them something they wouldn't wear again.

DF is getting his guys cufflinks to wear on the wedding day and a money clip engraved w/ their initials. Guys are so boring

We just had a MOH and BM so we went outside the norm. My MOH got a gift certificate to a local nursery because she and her DH just built a new house and they had lots of landscaping to do. Our BM who's originally from MA but now lives in CA got lobsters and seafood chowder from Legal Seafoods because there's nothing like New England seafood out in CA.

Both totally loved their gifts.

We had robes made up for our bridal party, the men's were grey and black and the girls all different pastel colors with their initials on them. All the girls wore them while we were getting ready on the day of the Wedding. I also purchased the jewelry the girls wore with their gowns.

For the females of my bridal party we did pearls to wear with their gowns and monorgrammed bags filled with:
1. slippers
2. flannel pjs from VS we wore the night before the wedding at our sleepover
3. perfume
3. candy
4. lip balms
5. the M&M stuffed wedding plush
6. Mickey picture frames from Disneystore online
7. Godiva chocolates
8. Disney Christmad ornaments
9. Disney Princess hats
10. Other little things
