Hi need help from US on this one
We are planning to get married on May 30th 2007 which of course is Memorial Day every year in the US. I know that memorial day weekend is one of the busiest the parks see each year. My question is in 2007 Memorial day is a Wednesday will memorial day be celebrated the weekend before, the weekend after or from Wednesday onwards for the rest of the week? For example this year it's a Monday so i presume that memorial weekend will be the Saturday and Sunday before (28 & 29th) with memorial day being on the monday?????????? Please help me out someone we don't want all our guests complaining about 3 hour queues in the parks.
:grouphug:

Memorial Day is always the last Monday of May. The parks are usually extremely crowded Memorial Day weekend (Friday-Monday).

monday may 28th will be memorial day 2007

if it's any consolation, we're getting married the day before Memorial day, but are actually starting our honeymoon ON Memorial Day, I must admit, I'm nervous about lines as well.

thanks everyone for you fast replys i really appreciate it!!!! ok so if i'm understanding you all correctly memorial day weekend will be fri 25th - mon 28th may 2007 is that right? So will the parks be busy after that memorial day weekend, will it stay busy all week?

ShellyShellfish:- i know i just hate long lines my DH2B loves disney but cannot stand any longer than 30 mins for rides he's a nightmare!!!! :confused3
You must be getting really excited now not long to go?

Lines will stay long because the summer season will begin, and schools will be let out for summer. Even thought the parks should still be crowded, it won't be as overwhelmingly crowded as fri 25th - mon 28th 2007.

I know, my H2B has never been before, so he's in for a treat, and I guess the same time we're there it's also Gay Days, so I'm afraid it'll be even more packed because of that! I just hope he doesn't get a bad first impression of Disney from the long lines, I want him to want to go again and again down the road!

It's about 100 more days until it all happens, so I really can't wait, it can't come soon enough! :Pinkbounc

We typically go to Disney the week leading up to Memorial Day and go home on Memorial Day...the week leading up is always fine, but that Friday and Satruday are always quite busy---but nothing like Easter/Christmas

If you are having a custom, your minimums will be higher if you marry on a holiday.

We are getting married in 4 1/2 weeks, March 26! The day before Easter and Spring Break for most kids! We are probably going to experience long long lines!!!! Our minimum was not more expensive to get married that weekend... I know for a fact it is a CRAZY time at Disney, but it was the best time for us and our families.
