Wedding music

Me and my DF are having problems deciding music for the ceremony and our wedding video. Df wants classical and traditional music for the ceremony and has suggested songs that make us laugh for the video. I can understand him trying to keep it traditional as we are getting married but the way I see it is we are getting married at Disney and that makes it different. We should have music that relates to the location.
The video I don't mind but I didn't want to look back at my wedding video in years to come and regret the music choices. I do want to include songs that mean something to us which would include some funny ones but also some romantic ones, but we can't decide.

Does anyone have any suggestions how we can decide the music? Has anyone got a list of songs that they used?

I ve left my DF to decide on which songs we have played for the ceremony & reception as well as which songs will be mixed throughout the video by Stvs. I figured giving him the option of deciding on the music would get him involved plus im making most of the decisions for the wedding so figured it would be nice for him to make the decision on a key factor too

My df tends to be more lyrical when it comes to music whereas i like i song without paying too much attention to words . We re both massive rock fans & are very passionate about music so we figured the music played should be things that really reflect us.

Hes finally come up with a list of songs for our wedding , luckily hes picked songs that suit the occasion & that are by some of our fav bands. He wants most of them played by a violinist but for our First Dance he wants the song played using a cd.

We're going for Vivaldi's Four Seaons (the main theme that everyone knows) for walking down the isle, You Belong To Me (Shrek) for the Sand Ceremony and the theme from The Godfather for the cake and champagne. We're not having a first dance and the reception is at the GF Cafe and then the Yachtsmans so no music there either.

I have a CD of syncopation music that we both love (and would fit with the Boardwalk perfectly) so if we can sort out a CD player at the Boardwalk we might have that instead.

Disney were most unhelpful and rude when I called them in the week to ask about it, so I will leave it and try again. Basically they refused to talk to me as I was outside the 18 months. Gees, it wouldn't have hurt to answer a question would it?!

I love that you re using the theme from the Godfather, very original . I like it when people have unusual choices for music

Im really surprised they would ne even help answer a Q!! You re probably better just asking your Q on the boards then cos at least you re guaranteed a friendly response

My df's choices are:

Silverchair's "After all these years" whilst hes waiting in the WP for me to appear (played by violonist)

"When you wish upon a Star" For me to walk down the aisle to (played by violonist)

Part of Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters" for Unity Candle (this will be played by violonist)

Foo Fighter's "Everlong" for us walking out of WP (played by violonist)

Silverchair's "My Favourite Thing" for our first dance (played on cd)
