Ok Disney have just contacted me with my DJ and so now i have to start thinking about what songs i want played at my wedding.

So i thought id ask everyone on here what songs they like to dance to at weddings/parties etc!

DH and myself had My first My last My everything by Barry White for our first dance, it was lovely, also for general music i don't think you can go wrong with cheesy songs, abit of Abba, timewarp, YMCA, and all that rubbish, even though people pretend not to like it, they always dance to it.

Hi Laura - we just got back from our anniversary trip to WDW and while we were there heard this fantastic song called I loved her first by Heartland which would be just perfect for a first dance.

For our party we had mostly cheese - we made our own invitations and matching rsvps on which we asked guests to list their three favourite party tracks and we built the DJs play list that way.

I can't believe you're so close to your big day - good luck - have fun - and make sure you share photos and trip reports afterwards!

Our first dance was to 'From This Moment On' by Shania Twain - beyond that was just the usual with guests chipping in with their requests.

Sadly we'd left for our first night hotel when they got my S-I-L dancing on the bar to YMCA!

We had the Beatles 'I Will' sung by Alison Krauss as our aisle music instead of a first dance, but it's not exactly upbeat if you are looking for dancing tunes. I'm sure the DJ's have their own appropriate playlists if you don't come up with anything yourselves. American brides seem to be big on the 'must plays' and 'don't play' lists.
