Well I am not officially engaged but dbf told me he is buying the ring in the next week! So it's only a matter of time..

I'm trying to work out a savings plan to detemine when we will have enough for the wedding. I can't seem to find a straight answer:
1. What is the minimum expenditure for a Mon-Thurs wedding (late afternoon-evening) in the month of November?
2. Can anyone provide or link me to the DPS prices? We want an in park reception and an outside photographer for the ceremony...need to figure out if this will break the budget. DPS coverage would be about 4 hours.

Thanks!

Are you having a Wishes or Escape wedding? There are different minimum expenditures for Wishes and Escape.

If you go on the Disney weddings website they have pricing info, such as expenditures and costs of photography, floral, etc. so you can get an idea of how much it will cost. HTH! :goodvibes

We are planning on wishes. On disney's site it says premium times of the year could cost more. Are those particular stretches of time (like with the hotel rates) or just special days (like holidays and 10.10.10 for example)? I found some info on dps on magical kingdoms, but was wondering if they had shorter packages or a la carte offerings?

I believe the rates would be over stretches of time, not just particular dates.

As for DPS, I have read other threads from brides doing the Escape wedding, or a dessert party, and their photography was around $350. If you only want a few hours and not the entire event, then that may be something you could look into. But I don't know if they would let you do that for a Wishes wedding.
My consultant gave me a DPS brochure for the Wishes wedding that listed their packages and it did not say anything about a la carte or shorter packages. The best way to find out is call them and talk to a consultant. They may even be able to give you the DPS phone number and you can call them directly and ask.

Hey there! I'm in a similar situation as not yet "officially" engaged but know it's coming soon and already planning a Wishes wedding with DBF. Here is a link for DPS that I found useful for pricing, http://www.disneyeventphotography.com/brochures/
We will probably go with an outside photographer if I can get DBF to go for a reception location other than the American Adventure Rotunda...he really likes the look of that location!!! Good luck in planning!!!

Ahh thank you! I hadn't seen those brochures before. American Adventure is beautiful! It's a hard decision to make...having an in-park event and great photography are the 2 most important things for me (Dbf just wants open bar lol) so I'm trying to figure out a way to make it work. I hope it becomes "official" for us both soon!

We really wanted to have ours at American Adventure Rotunda but it turned out to be too expensive. So we went with our second choice.

We're having a little bit of both. We have Studio 222 taking our pictures for getting ready and the ceremony, and DPS taking the pictures for our reception and dessert party. I actually thought about moving to ADH so that I could have Studio 222 do the reception as well, but then i remember that i wanted an in-park event. Happy Planning!

No problem, i originally saw that link on another thread on here! It is such a hard decision to make! helloirishkitty thanks for the advice on having an outside photographer do the getting ready shots and DPS do the rest! No idea why but I hadn't thought of that! American Adventure seems perfect for both Dbf and I because we are both involved in politics and have worked at the state capital and for congress so it kinda reminds us a little of that I guess. But yup the open bar is is #1 priority as well lol!!! Gotta love how guy's minds work!!!

I believe the minimum expenditure for a Wishes wedding for your date and time would be $12k. If you move the ime to a morning or noon ceremony your expenditure will go down to $10k during the week.

We just had a noon ceremony and then reception till 6pm for $11k plus taxes and service charges.

Also Most premium pricing is for holidays and special dates like 10-10-10, I haven heard about it being for stretches of time like the hotels do.
