I am so frustrated with my wedding invitations! Let me give you guys the back story and then I need advice on what to do. I ordered my invitations from an etsy seller in February and received them in June. When they came my last name was misspelled. I contacted the seller and she told me she would redo them. This was in June and in July I contacted her again because I had not received anything. She said she was sick and would get to work on them soon. Another month passed and I sent her a message and heard nothing, then I sent another message a week later and heard nothing. I went to click on her store and it’s gone!!!!! Now I really don’t know what to do. I wanted to send them out this month. Should I send them out with my last name misspelled, try to fix them, or just order new invitations?

Wow, how shady!! Is there anyway you can report her? Like I know on ebay if you have a problem you can report them and even get your money back. If it were me I would order new invitations; I mean, it's your name, ya know? But it's up to you if you are ok with that.

Ew. Sorry you have to go through that. File a dispute with Paypal and/or the credit card company you used to purchase the invites, and order elsewhere; you cannot count on her to come through, especially with a deadline coming up.

That's terrible! Can you file a dispute with Etsy or PayPal? That's what I'd do and in the meantime I'd have new invites made up. I would not be able to let a mistake like that go.

Definitely file a claim and in the meantime order new invitations. You'll feel better knowing that sooner than later you'll be able to send your invitations out.

I agree with the other posters..but Paypal does have a time limit to file a dispute. if you paid her in February it might be too late. Etsy doesn't have any kind if resolution center..so you might have to eat the cost of the invites if you decide to get new ones.

I think to much time has passed. I paid like $40 so its not too bad, but its still $40. I was looking at your etsy store and noticed that you make invitations. I think I found where I am getting my new ones!!!! :)

Sorry to hear about your dilemma! I'm confused as to how that would have happened--didn't the designer do a proof that you "approved" before they were printed? Any edits after the proof was approved would have been costs for you.

If you are looking for an Etsy seller who will do the design AND printing for you, check out http://www.etsy.com/shop/RunkPock?ref=pr_shop_more

This is who I used and she was AWESOME! We exchanged 40+ emails over the design/wording/layout of my invites, so you will have no communication/follow-up issues with her.

I didn't catch the error in the proofs, but when I emailed the seller about the error she offered to redo them. I never asked her too, I said I would just send them out like that and she said she would be wouldn't mind fixing it. Its fine though, I bought new invites from Wendy and they are FABULOUS!
