Wedding Hair

Ok Fairy Tale Bride I am definitely taking your photos to my stylist, that is EXACTLY what I envisioned! I even like that you did not have a veil or a big tiara. My fiance and I talked about that same option, but my mother really wants the tradtitional bride look, so watch out for future arguments onm that front. I am NOT going to back down...this time

Glad I could help! :yay: I wanted something very simple, but I knew I needed the curls because of the Florida weather. My hair would frizz and grow if I didn't do some thing with it. :goodvibes We had a simple beach/tropical theme wedding, so I knew a veil or tiara deal wouldn't look right. Plus, a veil just looks awful on my head! We wore flip-flops too, so we wanted it to all be fun! It was a very laid back and relaxing wedding and I loved it! You need to do what you want and what makes you happy. My Mom hates all the wedding stuff like I do, so she wanted everything easy too. She didn't even wear a wedding dress or anything on her wedding day! :teeth:

We are really casual too! We talked about having a barbeque reception and my mom said no way, so we are compromising. I LOVE the idea of flip flops! That is hilarious, I am going to ask fiance if he likes the idea because that is so us!

Well, i think it's pretty cool if we decide on casual/dressy beach attire for the wedding. Her mom isn't going to go for that though. hahaha

I had sandals that had a small heel on them with jeweled straps. They weren't too comfortable after standing for a long time, but I made do. You couldn't see them any way with my dress, but I did love the way they looked! :goodvibes

This is the closest thing I could find to how I want my hair. I am growing it out, and I want really long Victorian style barrel curls. I want it more back than up.

I knew you had to be a fellow southerner once I saw the barrel curls! We love our pretty hair!

How pretty! I am trying to grow mine out longer too, I love long hair on brides and have always wanted it! Three feet would look incredible!

I figure I'll cut it AFTER the wedding. I'm treating my day as the once in a lifetime event that it is. I want it to be really unique and special. I see a lot of prom type updos on brides which are very sophisticated and lovely, but it doesn't fit me. I'm a long flowing hair kinda girl.

if you're a ponytail girl, you might like my hairstyle. It was half up, half down, but I swear that in some of my pics it looks like I have a ponytail...

at trial (what it would've looked like if my wedding wasn't outside at night...)

I absolutely LOVE your hair! It is so pretty and that is such a cute style! I've never seen anything like it! It's beautiful!

thank you!! :goodvibes I really thought that I wanted an updo, but kind of ended up with this...I don't think I would have done it differently! :)

cryssi,
Your hair was so pretty! I absolutely love it! I will have to tell her to bring two cans of spray to keep curl in mine!

I'm trying to grow it to 3 feet!

be extra EXTRA careful with it from now on. i know that seems like common sense but take it to heart lol. i've been growing mine out for about five years now (its hip length) and you really do have to treat it like lace in order for it to work. i like Infusium 3-minute treatment conditioner its a Godsend. and i trim my own ends, i only get it cut like once every six months. i know that sounds crazy but i trim the split ends myself so it works.

sorry i am a bit obsessed with long hair lol...i think that it looks fantastic on any woman :D

anniebelle - thanks! make sure to put a lot of product in your hair before you get it styled...I think I should have put in like a whole can of mousse!

I cut my hair after the wedding to just below shoulder length...I loved my long hair (for awhile it was at my waist), but I'm just too old for that now! I recently got my hair layered so now I have to style it (ack. I was no-maintenance girl - wash and go), but it definitely looks more professional now. I'd say that if you have super long hair, go au naturel if your hair can handle it. I used to get my hair cut twice a year, but it was never damaged b/c I didn't color, perm, blow dry, style, etc...

Hi Cryssi, :wave2:

thanks in advance

Nicci :)
