Wedding Gifts?

Ive all of a sudden realised (Thanks to Mandys thread about xmas!! ) That its only just about 5 months till i leave for my wedding and i have absolutely nothing sorted yet! So ive been thinking about what gifts i should get for my bridesmaid, and waht Gary should get for the bestman and usher?

I wasnt sure if we should just get a traditional gift like a watch or something? or if i should get something "disney" as thats where we're getting married?

We have already paid for MVMCP tickets for everybody.

Any idea's? For the bestman and Usher we're looking on spending about £100 ish depending on the gift?

At the last wedding I went to the bridesmaids & ushers got perfume/aftershave, each got thier favourite.

If your wedding party are 'into' Disney then a themed gift would be great but I would make each personal to the recipient.

I think the Disney jewellery is a great idea they have a great selection of watches for the guys!

disney also has some lovely wine/champagne glasses that can be engraved with someone's name-they can be ordered ahead of time. there are also some companies that do gift baskets that they will deliver to the wdw hotels according to your desires (some will let you mail specific items to include along with a personal note). you could arrange to have these delivered to their rooms to surprise them upon arrival.

I like Barkleys idea, especially if they're big disney fans, if they're not hugely into disney I'd go down the traditional route and go for the jewellery/perfume idea

We got our Bridesmaid a lovely figurine which she had been admiring for ages. DH got the Best Man a really nice watch which he absolutely loved.

When I saw your thread I thought bracelets for the bridesmaids - easy to bring back!

If you buy watches for the usher and best man, there is a great little shop on Sunset Blvd in MGM Studios - it is listed on the guidemap as "Sunset Blvd Shops" because the shop selling custom watches runs into the other shops selling clothes and collectibles etc.

They have a good selection and helpful CMs.

It is on the right if you are walking towards TOT and opposite the villains and candy store.

At a wedding I went to they gave the bestman etc a day out, like those Red letter days.

No wonder weddings cost such a lot these days. Thank goodness we got married years ago. What's wrong with being thankful that you think so highly of these people to include them in your wedding plans by asking them to be bridesmaids, best man etc. If I was getting married again I'd be on a plane with just my husband to be and forget about everyone else. Sorry if I appear miserable to you thats just my opinion.
