Hi,
My best friend is getting married in a couple of weeks and they will be going to Disneyland for their honeymoon.
I would love to get them a special and unique wedding gift. I'm thinking a fun experience, special show, or dinner would be better than just a Disney gift card. I looked at the website and saw something about the Fantasmic front row seating and dessert. Has anyone done that?
I don't think they are staying at one of the Disney properties, but will most likely be at a Good Neighbor Hotel.
Any ideas???
Thanks!!

Are they into Disney history and background? There is a tour called, "A Walk in Walt's Footsteps" that is reportedly very good. I have never done it, but I have friends who have and I believe others here have. It is well reviewed.

Just an idea,
Dreams

California Adventure has a Segway tour, if that sounds like something they might be interested in. Click here for more info.

I have done the Fantasmic dessert experience and it is very nice. Unlimited beverages and a lovely box of desserts, fruit , cheese, and crackers. If you book the early (9pm) show, they stay in their seats for fireworks. Not the best view for those who only prefer straight-on castle/Main Street views, but pretty darn nice. Is it the best cost/value ratio? Depends on your perspective and the dollar value you place on touring time. I liked not having to stake out a spot a couple hours ahead of time. We walked up at the last minute and were seated.

A gift card for dinner at Napa Rose or Steakhouse 55 would also be a great romantic gift!

I second this! :thumbsup2

Fantasmic is not currently showing until the end of May, FYI.

Thank you so much! The Segway tour looks exactly like what I was looking for. They will love it. The ticket office is closed, and I can't tell from the website if the tour goes everyday. Does anyone know?
Great suggestions - thank you! I'm so excited.

Never mind! Just looked again and they are daily. Thanks again!

Remember there's a weight limit....just in case!

FWIW, fabulous present we got was credit on our account on our honeymoon cruise. We could use it however we wanted, and always remember who "sent us" on the excursion, even though she didn't choose it. Money or gift cards or putting something on account (doubt you can do that at Disney though) might feel impersonal, but they can buy great things that get you remembered forever!

I would say either the Segway tour, or one of the tours that they give at Disneyland. The Fantasmic is also nice because of the fact you go pick your seats earlier and then come back for the show and not have to worry about where you're sitting.

I love all of the above ideas! I don't have anything to add but wanted to say..... My husband and I went to Disneyland on our honeymoon nearly 20 years ago. As a surprise to us, our parents let the airlines and hotel know that we were newlyweds on our honeymoon. We were celebrated on our flight with something special. I can't remember exactly what it was. We also had a small cake and some bubbly in our hotel room waiting for us. (may have been apple cider...I can't remember... I was barely 21) We stayed at HoJo's.

I wish I remembered the fine details a little better, but I do remember feeling very special. :)

Anyways, what an amazing honeymoon it was for us! Any of those ideas will be greatly appreciated, I'm sure! You are very thoughtful!

We are still very happily married after all of this time. I think Tinkerbell sprinkled her magic pixie dust on us for a "And They Lived Happily Ever After". I wish the same for your friends!

Or a disney photopass CD.
That way they don't have to worry about who'll take their pictures at the park... :)

Disney photopass CD is a good idea, but the tour will be more special I guess

I got them the Segway tour at California Adventure and they LOVED it! Thanks so much for all the great ideas. Now I want to do the tour next time we go. :)

Another cute idea if this is possible.... if you could find out where they are staying and somehow have the mickey and minnie ears (the bride one and groom one) delivered to their room! Then they could wear them around the park

This is a really good idea. If not the CD just credit for a few pictures in front of the castle that the could put in thier home is a really lasting gift.

I would also say send wine or champagne and fruit or chocolate to their room.

Otherwise a tour or F! package if available when they are there would be great. They don't require them lugging anything back home.
