Hello Ladies!

With all the creativity on this board I am hoping you all show me your wedding favors.

I'm trying to come up with something, and I've got nothing. Everything I find online is so.....blah. They aren't unique and very much not "me".

With a wedding in Jamaica, a honeymoon in WDW and an at home reception, I've got alot to work with.

So show me your Wedding Favors!!

While this might sound compulsive I bought our wedding favors after DH proposed lol... like a day after. He proposed at the Eiffel Tower and so while we were in France I scoured the shops to find something unique for the wedding. Later in our trip while in the South of France I bought about 120 handmade soaps (way too much, we are still using them to this day!) that were pink and smelled so good. I just knew it would be sentimental and special to us.

The packaging: pink boxes with ribbon and crystal buckle

I can't find any photos of the actual soap at the moment but they were just little bars with a flower label saying the scent and where they were made.

Something sentimental and special to the two of you as a couple is always a good choice.

We're doing CDs and Yankee Candles. I just got the proof for the cd label today! :woohoo:

Aw, the cd is very cute! I love that Beach Boys song ever since I heard Uncle Jesse sing it to Becky on Full House! :goodvibes

My daughter burned CD's of all the music that was going to be played at the wedding. They also printed up labels and tied each one with a bow. To this day it is one of my favorite CD's that I play in my car all the time. Everyone seemed to like them and it's something that you can use and enjoy.

"I Knew I Loved You" was our wedding song. Great choice to include in the cd. ;)

I think including something that is special to you is always a nice idea. We always do personalized candy bars. We did them for our bridal shower, wedding, baby shower, and now our kid's birthday parties. We're known for them now and everyone is waiting for them...:) So, of course we'll be doing them for our vow renewal next year too.

You know, he sang that at the Magic Kingdom just as Danny proposed to Vicky in fireworks...

Anyway, we're doing an at-home wedding with a "Wishes" theme so for our favors, we made a donation to Make a Wish.

My sister was married in Jamaica and part of the welcome gift included a bottle of rum creme (small) with a custom label that included their wedding monogram. I still have the bottle!

For our Disney Wedding we had a welcome bag and gave out CDs with the music from the wedding (including 2 hidden tracks) which were a big hit.

Thanks everyone! Some great ideas!!

Still hoping to see some more of your own favors!

These were are favors. We had coffee mugs and Disney Coffee and Cocoa. My DH drew the cartoon on the mugs.

This is how they were packaged.

Our theme is "Tropical Christmastime Fun". We're doing snowglobes as favors-

The plan is to wrap them like Christmas presents :goodvibes

First of all... sorry about the pic sizes- I "borrowed" these images off of the internet and I don't know how to fix it...:rotfl:

We're doing the Lenox Mickey and Minnie Ears ornaments wrapped in boxes like presents. I too was a bit on the impulsive side and have been stock piling them for some time now (even before I was engaged honestly...) and it's looking like we're going to have a bunch leftover- but I was nervous about them because the lenox outlet can be unpredictable and they're expensive online!

...and the little girls there get the princess Minnie ears.

I didn't think I was going to have enough of the Minnies so I got the only other ones they had for the bridesmaids which were the Bride ears but now that there's plenty, I'm not sure what to do with the extras!

We did drink koozies with custom M & M's placed inside of them. Everyone loved it and this would be a cool place to tie in Jamaica with a cute saying or quote. Ours said "Dream Do Come True" and then had our names and date on theother side. i have seen some that say ' to have and hold and to keep your drink cold'

Anna- where did you order your Koozies?

I ordered them from a logo type company I know. JSA Specialities out of Jacksonville, FL.
Im sure they would be willing to work with you, as I did everything over email and phone.

I'm getting married in Puerto Rico and we are doing a welcome bag, well it's a beach bag with the name of the island and palm trees screen printed on it, we're putting water, snacks, and bottles of local hot sauce with a little tag. For the reception my mom is making cookies and we're putting them in treat bags.

I say go with local flair, if you can. I also saw this little palm tree candy holder that was adorable, I would have used them, but my mom wanted to make her cookies. I'll see if I can find pictures tonight.

I found this on another board:

"I think more meaninful, and less disposable, favors would really reflect the location of your wedding. Here are a few of my suggestions: give out small bags of Blue Mountain coffee, which can be bought on the island for a small fraction of what it costs up here. You could get small bottles of our famous rums (appleton, meyers, and wray & nephew) or bottles of spice mixes and hot sauces. There are many workshops now that offer body care products made with Jamaican botanical ingredients, like lotions, scrubs, and yummy-smelling soaps. You could arrange to get this stuff through the wedding coordinator at the resort or buy it online up here and have it sent down."
