Pjstevens, I love your VR dress! It's so pretty and beachy. I also love the fact that your DH's shirt will match. Too cute.
I figured I'd jump into the thread too... here's my dress:

I don't have a good picture of me in it yet. Also, the pictures don't really do the bodice justice - it looks like embroidery, but up close it's all little crystals.
I finally got my dress in. It is too big in the waist...this is a good thing in my opinion...but I still love it!

I obviously need to tan a little here.

I am actually looking at the moment for my dd, for her prom. (I have already searched for my vr dress for the future.) I am just wondering if anyone has ordered their bridesmaid or wedding gown on line. If so how long does it take & who did you go thru, and of course, how was your experience?
Thanks for any info.

I've been looking at this thread over the past few days, and I realized I hadn't looked at my dress for about a month (I ordered it right after New Year's). I went to go grab the picture off the Maggie Sottero website, and after looking at everyone else's dresses, I thought, Wow, my dress looks so simple.
It's not, and I know I love it... I just hate looking at the pictures online... I don't think they do it justice at all. I hate her pose too; that doesn't help. But they frown upon picture taking, so I'll have to wait until it comes in before I can get any shots of myself in it.
I'm not like other people... I didn't get the *click* ... I actually tried it on in several different stores several different times, and then I said, You know, if I keep coming back to it, it must be the one.
I really am in love with Atelier Aimee's work, but a bit out of my price range. It's from watching Anne of Green Gables one too many times (I love, love, LOVE flowers on dresses... I wanted a dress with flower applique, and as you can see, this doesn't have it)! I hope to get some flowers added.
But I do love this dress. The kicker is that my hair and glasses match too.

It's funny... I went on a Disney cruise in January, and one of the people I ate dinner with said to me one night, I have a question. (She was around eleven years old.) Do you like burgundy?
How could she ever tell?![]()

That's my dress too! I love my Ivana!I ordered it in diamond white/pearl pink but tried on the light gold/burgandy. You won't regret your choice once you try it on again. The simplicity of the design is what makes it so nice! I love that it's not covered in beads and lace and the little bit of color makes it stand out.
Well, what are the odds?!(I guess they have to be good! Someone had my prom dress at my prom too!)
I've never seen it in any other color, so you'll have to show pictures. It's hard for me to imagine it in any other because the site doesn't have them.
And you're right-- that's why I loved it-- I don't like beads, sequins, lace. I wanted something simple. But striking at the same time.
