Well, my wedding dress shop has said to me that because I am traveling so far they would steam and pack my dress in a box with acid free paper to protect it. But I am just wondering if I will then need to have it steamed again when I get to florida! I just wanted to know if any of you guys have had this done b4. I know it's a long flight (9-10hrs) and the dress will be in the box for at least a few days b4, so should I organise for it to be steamed again when I arrive? I don't want to arrive in florida and have my dress be crushed. The dress shop is doing this for free so I'm going to have it done either way. I just thought I'd get some opinions from people who have traveled with dresses b4.

Sorry this is a bit of a rant! I can't seem to concentrate today. Wedding stuff on the brain :lmao:

When I picked my dress up from the shop after all the alterations were done it was pressed & ready to go however from TX to FL it got wrinkled. I hired Carolyn Allen to come in and press/steam all the girls dresses and mine as well as DH's uniform. She came the afternoon before the wedding. I HIGHLY recommend her!

Thank you so much, I thought no one was going to reply for a minute there!
