Hi hun, how are you?

I absolutely love the hair and make up, and the second dress is my favourite. Are you going for the same colour?

Hey Alex :goodvibes

Im getting so carried away with all this planning:banana: i think im driving my df nuts:rotfl:!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I love the skirt on the second dress its a proper fairytale design. The other one i ve seen but cant find the pics of is very similar to the second design ie its a very soft pink in colour & has a stunning skirt. Just wish i could find the pics  . The first design looks a lot more beautiful when you see it in person, the pic does nt do it justice.

All of his designs are gorgeous, the Designer has been voted as wedding designer of the year for the last 4 yrs in a row so hes dresses are known for having that "fairytale" quality to them:love:. I cant wait till i get to try them on  :woohoo: :yay:

I want my makeup to be the exact same colours as in the pic just with False lashes.

Both dresses only come in those colours

Glad you like the pics :woohoo: ;)

WOW WOW WOW! Everything looks beautiful! You are going to look stunning ;) If I had to pick between the dresses then I would go for number one as I think it looks like a princess but has an air of sexyness to it and your hair & smokey eyes would just turn it into something even more spectacular! Number 2 is lovely aswell, very fairytale princess and really really cute :cutie: Depends what look you want to go for :) Your wedding ring has made me speachless - you have great taste ;) :worship:

Yay im so glads you like my choices:lovestruc  :woohoo: :yay:

Ive had my eye on a Chopard ring for a very long time  but the band i originally wanted was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to expensive.
Then i saw this one & fell in love with it, its still a tad pricey but my df has said he does nt want me getting a second choice ring:woohoo: . My engagement ring was handed down to us as it was my nans ring so he kinda got lucky there by only having to pay to get it altered. ;)

If you ve not started looking at dresses check out Ian Stuarts website to see his full range, you may find something you like plus a stockist near you

I thought the exact same when i first laid eyes on the dress in pic 1, its a very unusual colour & the details on the back of the dress & train was amazing. The other 2 dresses i ve got my eye on (No 2 pic & another) are both soft pink which is all good as im a big pink lover :cloud9:. They re both very much fairytale dresses though so thats probably why i love them so so much:lovestruc  :cloud9:

I ve been planning my wedding for what seems so so long so i wanna get everything as perfect as i possibly can.:)

The second dress is just stunning....and the tiara is perfect.

Hair is very sexy and I think you can never go wrong with a smoky eye!

I love the pink dress :) My mom like's the first one..I had her look cause we both like victorian style gowns. Both are gorgeous so you will be fine with whatever one you pick.

Your choices are great - you'll be a proper princess princess: The ring is beautiful & I'm sure it will look lovely with your nans ring by its side :)

Ian's dresses are gorgeous but they are out of my price range ;) We have got a good budget but we are trying to fit in lots of things so it's a bit of give and take :upsidedow I love fairytale dresses and disney is the perfect place for one princess: I'm hoping to get a princess one & would like either a halter or sweetheart neckline :lovestruc

I'm sure it will be perfect and a totally memorable day

Thanks ladies im glad you like my choices:woohoo:

I originally wanted to get my dress made, i had seen a pic on St Puccis site as i loooved the one Phoebe in Friends wore for her wedding. I researched the designer of her dress & found out it was St Pucci.
Thing is the dress was $8000 which is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay out of my price range :headache: so figured well id try to get the design i liked made.
However then i was scrolling through the net & came a cross Ian's designs & just fell in love with them  :cloud9: :lovestruc .

The dresses i ve been looking at are between £1500 - £ 2300 ($3000 - $4600)plus then you ve got all the lovely alteration fees on top:rolleyes:

We worked out how much the planning session in Oct plus everything for the wedding/Honeymoon next May will cost & all im gonna say is oh my god:scared1: . But my dfs said we ve waited for such a long time & have been through so much that if we re gonna do this we ve gotta do it properly:yay: :woohoo:

With me my makeup has to stand out, i work within the makeup industry so my makeups always pretty full on especially when it comes to eye makeup so smokey eyes is a must have for me as are false lashes:cutie:

I ve had my tiara & shoes for a very long time, as soon as i saw them both i knew they were the ones so have had them stored in my wardrobe for way over a year.;)

*right click and saves the photo of Mirah Carey* THAT is exactly the look i'm after... Lots of eyes with maybe a hint of plum and lots of smokiness and little on the lips! (It sounds good in my head, but i'm SOOOO not a girlie girl and up on make-up trends!)

Somehow my eyes keep getting distracted when I look at the pic of Pammy, but her hair looks great once I can focus long enough to look!! :rotfl:

Both of those dresses are stunning and very very 'princessy'... and I love the colour of both of them! In fact, I have an online friend on a weight loss website I use that has chosen one of those dresses (or something very very similar with the flowers on the skirt) and she posted a pic of herself when she went to try it on, and it looked incredible!!

I need to stop looking at dresses! With 31 more sleepies left to go i'm starting to get that 'Am I going to wind up a 2 dress Bride' feeling! Oops!!! I went for my final fitting a couple of day ago, and it needs taking in (again) since my fitting 10 days before that and until I see it on and it actually fitting properly, i'm not going to be satisfied!!!

Now you need to find a 'shoes' photo!!! Shoes are SO my thing!!! :yay:

I have been on the look out for ages to find a pic showing someones makeup that i looved:cloud9: , i originally had a pic of Pam (im a big pam anderson fan) where she had modelled for Mac's Viva Glam campaign but then i saw this one & looved the really sultry smokeyness of her eyes. My colouring (hair& skin) pretty similar to Mariahs so figured this may work better for me. I would want the eyes a tad more defined but that would all come down to a great pair of false lashes:lovestruc . I just want my lips similar to her, very nude & glossy as i looooooooooooove my gloss:love: .

I wish i could show you a pic of my shoes but cant find one online, i ll have to take one at the wkend;) . They re silver silk Kurt Geiger Ballerina Slippers that have a silk ribbon that ties up a round the legs. They look really beautiful, they re very girly & cutesy:cutie:

I think we re probably more opposite then as im a very girlie girl ie with my makeup, i adore the colour Pink, my friends love to joke that im a typical blonde so read in to that what you will;) . Although i DONT do shoes!!!!! I will only wear ballet pumps, i ve got heels but only wear them when im really dressed up. Im a comfort girl so love pumps or trainers:woohoo: :yay:

Bless i know the pic of pams a tad distracting, i think when i showed it to my df he did nt know where to look (hes not exactly a fan of Pam, if its not a pic of Nicole Appleton then hes not interested:rolleyes: ). Just think what the girls at Beaute Specaile are gonna say when i have to take it out to show them so they copy it:headache:

I'd love to be working with a dress budget like that ;) I'd be in the bridal stores everyday trying stuff on :rotfl:

Everything soon adds up doesnt it! Are you having any characters at your reception?? Mickey & Minnie??

I'd love to be able to do the smokey eye look, I think it looks beautiful - but everytime I try it, it looks soooo wrong  I end up looking like a proper panda! I might go to a make-up counter and get them to do it for me & see how it looks. I normally wear natural colours with a bit of sparkle & gloss thrown in too :)

I'd quite like to be a girlie girl... but it just seems SO much effort! LOL. I can't wear tons of make-up for work... I'm a nurse and I work in Burns care and the temperature on the unit is THAT hot that make-up just slides off me... so I just slap on tons of moisturiser and some lip salve and thats about it!! I am, however, anal about my nails! I get withdrawal symptoms if I have to go more than a fortnight without my regular treatment at the beauty salon and i'm stressing muchly about having to have someone else do them in Florida. I have them gelled and have an appointment booked the day before we fly and it will be 7 days later when we get married, so I just feel I will NEED to get them done again!!

I love my converse and have just bought a great pair for under my wedding dress for our 'at home' reception so I can dance the night away! I've actually perfected the art of wearing heels... It became a requirment when I met DF... he's 6'5 and i'm about 5'2... I am, however, all about boots... especially since i've lost quite a bit of weight and I can now get them to fit around my calves! I'm all about a bargain too.... My wedding shoes cost a grand total of 20 quid off ebay and I love them more than is really healthy! They are with the seamstress at the moment so I don't have to keep trailing them backwards and forwards for dressing fittings and I'm missing them! I SO need to get out a wee bit more!!!

I love it!!!!:dance3:  :lovestruc

I m a total Converse Girl so the idea of wearing them under your wedding dress to me sounds fab :woohoo: .

My df's not going for the traditional suit or tux as that just not him plus hes always suited up for work. Hes more than likely gonna wear a suit jacket, smart shirt & poss tie with a really nice pair of jeans & converse:lovestruc . To me that sonds great as i love the rock look & my ideal man is Kurt Cobain so im very happy with his decision.

My mum laid a lill egg over it saying "he cant wear that blah blah blah" but my sis corrected her & said its there wedding they can do whatever they want:yay: . Her friends hubby got married in biker gear so it really should be a reflection on the person wearing it any way.

JoJo

The smokey eyed look just takes a lot of practice, if you re not use to wearing very strong colours then try it with neutral tones like a mix of soft & deep browns & once you re use to that go for silvers & blacks. It does take a while to get it perfect:rolleyes: , i have to do my makeup quite full on due to my profession but even still im sometimes screw up getting the smokey look perfect. Key thing is to blend, blend & blend more & liquid liner is a must plus if you cab wear false lashes with it then it looks amazing:woohoo:

If you wanna go to a makeup counter then i recommend one that specialises in just cosmetics ie Mac, Nars (are amazing so if you can find them id def recommend them), Stilla, Bobbi Brown. Kind of houses you only find in large department stores ( not Debenhams though) or Space NK:) . I have to go to Bluewater for these kinda brands which is some distance but is very much worthwhile to get fab quality cosmetics!!!

Everything adds up very scarily, when we totaled up the whole costs we were both gobsmacked:scared1: . Then again we are going disney twice in 8 months so i guess its our own fault.:cutie:

We were originally gonna have Mickey & Pluto at the wedding reception (i realy would of loved Eeyore as hes my fav but they dont allow this so one of my next favs is Pluto). Then when we added everything up we decided a couple of cuts are needed:rolleyes: . I wanted our dinner to be held at C.Grill but thinking about it its really not somewhere i think my df would feel comfortable in. Plus he only tends to like standard English food so we re gonna go to Chef Mickeys now.
It ll be a lot of fun, good mix of food plus we ger pics with the characters thrown in all for a hell of a lot cheaper:woohoo:

Hahahahahaha! DF is just TOO tall to get away with the 'jeans, jacket and converse' look... He'd look like a complete prat!! There are only going to be 6 of us in Florida, and the 3 guys (DF, DS and My Dad) are wearing black suits with really long jackets but not quite as formal as a frock coat.... claret coloured tie/scrunchie things, and a silver waistcoat. We have a fantastic silk floral place near where I live, and I picked up their buttonholes today.... claret gerbera with grasses.... DS looked at his a proclaimed it 'gay'... Ah, to be nearly 13!!! He also thinks its 'gay' that he didn't win his battle for black converse with his suit (He IS his mothers son!!!)... DF told him if he has to suffer in shoes, then everyone does!!! Hahahaha

Bless "man talk" always makes me chuckle:rotfl: :lmao:
I love the "its gay" statement, i bet you just roll your eyes & pretend you did nt hear him say that  . Sometimes i think men are worse with worrying over their appearance than us girls!!
Ooooh black converse with a suit does get my vote though ;) :woohoo: .

If i had my way my df would dress "grungy" for our wedding as that to me is the look i most like men in (i have a strange choice i know) & when we met at 17 yrs old thats how my df looked:love: . Hes adament thats not gonna happen ( i think my mum would keel over:rotfl: ) so the half suit half jeans & trainers is a good compromise:)
