My friend lives in Tampa and is having a small wedding there. We will be having a girls weekend right before the wedding at the GF. Since my Disney Wedding cake was so yummy, she thought of ordering her cake from Disney and just bringing it back with us. How do you think we do that? I ordered a small cake for our anniversary last year but she wants to look at some samples and see the different flavors of cake. Also, what flavor would you suggest? I have white cake with white chocolate mousse and it was wonderful!

BelleNJ,

Call 407-824-2222 and ask for Grand Floridian Private Dining. They will be able to help you or put you in touch with the bakery directly. However, at first, you should probably just refer to the cake as a "special occasion" cake because if they hear that you want a wedding cake for a wedding that's not occuring at Disney, they might say no. Actually, I probably wouldn't ever refer to the cake as a "wedding cake." Instead, you should just describe the cake in detail EXACTLY how you imagine it looking and then let them make the suggestions from there. The minute you say wedding, they'll want to put you in touch with the weddings deptartment, who will then say no because the wedding isn't happening at Disney. Sometimes you've got to operate on the "sly" to get what you want (if you know what I mean).

Good luck!
