Wedding cake Toppers: What did you have?

We had fresh flowers that matched out colors (celadon and fuchsia). I didn't find a 'bride and groom' that I liked very much. I think they are out of vogue here on the West Coast. Of the weddings we've been to in the past couple years I don't think anybody has had one.

We had Mickey and Minnie. Unfortanly it was stored on a shelf in my mom's closet and one day I had to get something down and knoced it off the shelf and it broke.

Because it was the second wedding for both of us and we both had huge weddings the first time ( First time he had 250 guests, I had a St. Patrick's Day Wedding with both families being Irish, so we had 560 guests), we decided we wanted something fun and much smaller. Enter Lilo & Stitch, a movie that we had seen on a date and loved. Since the idea of family being anything that you make it sounded like a great way to combine our children, so we had a Hawaiian Themed wedding. We wrote the ceremony ourselves, and since the kids were our wedding party we had a lei ceremony that symbolized "Ohana". The cake had stargazer lilys on the top and we added some glass palm trees.

The place we had it in had tiki statues, a waterfall, and we even had Hawaiian dancers and a fire dancer. Not bad for being in Chicago!

We had a Christmas theme and my cake was square layers stacked with a ribbon around each layer to look like presents stacked on each other. On the top was a GI Joe in his cammos with a brown haired barbie sitting in his lap. We plan to give them to our kids We were too broke to afford anything better, lol.

My cousins were in Mexico before their wedding and had this hand blown VERY delicate glass heart with vines on it with his las name in the middle. My aunt was washing it and broke it but a jewler came and fixed it

We had cheesecake too! We didn't have a topper, though. The cheesecakes were all topped with sliced strawberries.

We had a Precious Moments cake topper. I received some grief about not getting a topper where the bride is in a wheelchair. Oh brother.

we had a traditional cake topper, but these friends of ours had a tiered cake with the bride and groom snowboarding down the side (they're both into that).
If nothing else, it was unique.

We got married 20 years ago and I was not as into Disney as I am now, but I hated the "traditional" topper. So I found one with little-kid figures dressed up as a bride and groom, kissing, with pink trim. I still have it--the white plastic on the bottom is all discolored though. Our matches and napkins had the same type of thing--little kids dressed up.
Does anyone even pass out matches anymore? That is so 80s!

One of my cousins in Texas had a cowboy and cowgirl bride and groom. Their whole them was "cowboy". Her formal wedding picture even had her horse in it.
