I have already posted this once in the Weddings and Honeymoons board and got few responses. Was hoping to get more views and more suggestions. Thanks!

My husband and I did not get to go on a honeymoon due to low finances. We are more financially stable now, and will be spending our 3rd anniversary in Magic Kingdom on Aug. 2nd with our family. We however were hoping to get a few hours just to ourselves on that day. We don't do alcohol, and a lot of the restaurants people suggest are based more on drinks than the food. And while we'll take restaurant suggestions, we are actually looking for some recommendations of a quick romantic time together inside the park. We will probably have already seen Wishes once that week. Please help!

Congratulations on your anniversary and belated honeymoon. :)

Personally, I find the World Showcase romantic. It's so beautiful out by the water. I would suggest taking a nice walk around the countries together and cap it off by watching Illuminations.

Smooch your way through Journey of the Little Mermaid! But wait until close to park closing, so you're one of few on the ride.

Take the latest, last ride on the Liberty Square riverboat and find your own quiet corner.

You could try for a later reservation at BOG and just have dessert. The grey stuff is delicious!

Or ride the carousel together.

If you decide you want to leave the park, I recommend California Grill. The view is romantic, especially for fireworks. I got reservations just a few days before our anniversary last year. I just had to keep trying.

Have a wonderful celebration!

Victoria and Albert's at the Grand Floridian. Skip wine pairings, for the 2 of you @ 600 bucks well worth it.

I agree with this. DH and I have had numerous date nights simply strolling WS and watching Illuminations.

You could also walk the animal trails at AK and see ROL.

In MK, you could ride Peoplemover and walk the back pathway from Tomorrowland to Storybook Circus, or take the raft over to Tom Sawyer Island and walk around. You could also have your silhouettes done on Main St.

Or go out the IG entrance of EP and stroll around the Boardwalk or even jump on a Friendship boat and do the EP resort, DHS/EP loop.

Wishes is gone. I would suggest Skipper Canteen, the new restaurant based on The Jungle Cruise.

Can you clarify one thing? The above quote reads as if you will be at WDW for only one day or that it is on this particular day at the Magic Kingdom that you are looking to break away for a few hours. If so, suggestions such as going to the Boardwalk or the World Showcase or the animal trails at Animal Kingdom wouldn't make much sense. Are you looking for something specific to the Magic Kingdom?

I am looking for something specific for the Magic Kingdom because we will be in that specific park on the day of our anniversary without a park hopper ticket and are trying to find things to do on our anniversary day. We will be in all of the other parks on different days in the same week, but are mainly looking for ideas for MK.
