My parents are going to be at Disney for their Wedding Anniversary this January. I think that they wanted to go to dinner at Portobello in Downtown Disney and are staying at the boardwalk Inn. Does anyone have any tips on something that I could do to surprise them and make the day a little bit special for them? Either at the resort or at dinner maybe. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

You could call the manager at Portobello—(407) 934-8888—and talk to him/her about adding enhancements to their meal, like a personalized menu or a special dessert. Disney can't deliver cakes to non-Disney restaurants, but Portobello may offer its own special-occasion cake you can order.

You could also buy them a ($$$) room-decoration package or a gift basket or flowers by contacting the Disney Florist: http://www.disneyflorist.com/

And you can contact Private Dining at BoardWalk Inn and see about getting a cake delivered or some other sweet treat. The selection changes all the time, so it's best to call a week or so ahead and find out what they offer—past choices have included chocolate-covered strawberries, a white chocolate Mickey, and a cookie plate. Call the main number at BoardWalk Inn and ask to be transfered to Private Dining: (407) 939-5100
