Hello-
I was at a bridal show in my hometwon. I am in Southern Illinois and there was an amazing Disney album that a local photographer had done at a Disney wedding. It looked like a coffee table book. The people at the booth said it was the nicest album in the industry and it is from Italy. The pictures were not actual photos stuck to a page they were on the page like a coffee table book. Well the packages with that album started at like 6000, my question is what are Disney's album and Chapman's albums like? I thought Disney's pictures were high like I said starts at 6grand not counting that I would have to fly him down and pay for a room.

Well the albums I saw on my PS were amazing. Amoe of the album options for most photographers look like coffee table books. The one I am getting from Disney is like that.

6k is a lot of money for photo!!

What you are speaking about is not a regular album that photographers give with most packages it is what is called a "digital" album. therre are many photogs that do them but they are VERY pricey and could run thousand + just for the album...I don't know too much about it though maybe someone else has more info.

i remember fantasia sam had a beautiful digital album done. try searching the board here for digital album or pm-ing her.

digital albums are normally expensive, im pretty sure from another post like this randy offers them at an additional cost. the regular leather albums are included in both his & disneys packages.

you could also check out mypublisher.com for coffee table style photo books, i did one of us as kids, teens, dating, etc for memories & it came out very nice.

Also I was looking at Randy Chapmans site and I was wondering is a compressed cd one that allows you to print any size photo? I know with Disney that has 2 cd versions.
Thanks

We have a digital album through Disney. I can tell you that the costs for our photography for the entire event and the digital album are nearly half of what you are mentioning here. I suspect it is because Disney has a working relationship with these companies and do them in such large numbers (vs) private photographer.

This is incorrect. You have three album options through Disney. One is a traditionally bound leather album and two are the digital albums. Of the digital albums, one is much more artistic and artsy than the other.

Ok so thru Disney I could get that kind of album and that would be included in the package. Jill if you do not mind me asking which package did you get? Also can you break the hours down say I get an 8 hr and use 1 hr at the Rehearsal dinner?
Thanks

yes but you have to upgrade to those digital albums at an additional cost.

My EM emailed me the albums she said it was the Artists, I am not sure if it is a digital album, this particular photographer called it a magazine album. So do I have to upgrde for the Artist Album? The album I am talking about also included cartoon images of Alice in Wonderland and then it had a Huge Shot of Illuminations and the castle.

Take a look at the photobooks that snapfish.com or shutterfly.com will let you create--I think you will see the same thing and even the most elaborate one won't cost you close to $100. I have Randy's package that includes the book and I have been lax in picking my photos because I already have made some great books on snapfish that inlcude not only his pics but all the other digital pics I have collected from friends and family

Any size photos--it is the hi-res...it is THE best investment of my whole wedding...I have over 900 photos to do whatever i want with...it's any bride's dream :wizard:

There is a photo album that is actually called a "coffee table" album. My husband and I are wedding photographers and just looked into adding that to our line. Its trendy right now. They come in different price levels with different jackets. And - Disney can do ANYTHING - so if you see an album you like, ask for it. They dont all cost $6,000! Some start at $500...so its worth asking.

Yes callalily6 thank you...that is exactly what I was talking about. I think the average is around $800-1000 for a decent sized one. I DON"T THINK they come with the Disney package but I could be wrong...UnderTheMistletoe is this what you recieved? Maybe it comes with the larger more expensive packages?

We used Patken Photographer for our photos and spent FAR less than what you'd pay for a package through Disney. There are a lot of outside photographers that offer great packages. We were floored with our photos also. Evan was our photographer and he had a great, positive attitude and things went so smoothly for us.

What we did was get photos only, no album, with the masters included in high-resolution. They also print the digital albums but with what we chose, we can pay for it at a later time when it's more affordable. We can also use whatever company we want to!

Spend the good money on the photography now while you can, and you can always have albums made at a later time. $6000 is incredibly expensive! Wowza!
