I had a great moment today..... my $102 shopping bill turned out to be $48 after coupons!
Diane, what supermarkets are you shopping at? I used to get great savings when I lived in "The Land of Doubles." I can't find any supermarkets that will double in NYC. Even our CVS does not have the same sales flyers as the rest of the country. Rite Aid just started doing the same thing, going from a 12 page flyer to a 4 page "Metro NYC" flyer.

They will honor the sale if I print off the missing flyer pages of something I want. But what a pain.

And that's costing me money in printer ink.
The nearest Walgreens to me doesn't even have a flyer in the store

, but will honor the sales if I bring one in. Luckily, I've been able to snag them.
The best stockpile deal I've had recently was at Jack's 99¢ Closeout department, not the 99¢ section. It was for my favorite conditioner, Charles Worthington: Moisture Seal. I ran out about a month ago, and by the time I finally got around to buying another bottle, my hair was fried. I had to use an intensive treatment to get in back in any reasonable shape. I was afraid I was going to have to cut it off, but, once I started using the Moisture Seal again, my hair got so much better.
Well, the company changed the look of the bottles. I haven't found it on sale anymore, so I've been paying $6.99 for it, full price.
I was in Jack's the other day and I spotted a shelf full of the old style bottles. They were a closeout as they were trying to get rid of them for the new bottle design. I snagged 12 bottles for only $2 each!
