I am looking for a website that I found a while back and now cannot locate it. It gave projected park attendance for every day of 2005 with a rating from very crowded to very light attendance. It also had projected days that each park would have EMH. Anyone know the site I am talking about?????

:confused3

Wow - very helpful.. What about the water parks? Any clue as to which is better for crowds - or are they about equal?

I don't know of a website for the water parks attendence, but as a general rule of thumb, especially during the summer months, the parks are usually busier at the weekends. We went to Blizzard Beach at the end of October on a Saturday, we got there at opening. When we left around midday I was surprised at how busy it had become. I can't imagine how busy it must be during the summer vacation!

Hiya :wave2:

This will come in usefull for me aswell, Although I hope everyone doesnt use it or we shall see 2 million people all headed for MK at the same time and no-one at Epcot!

Wow great post! Very helpful. I was happy to see all 2's for our trip.

jpolak you're lucky to see 2's! I've got 8's all the way through (June 11th - 25th) but I am very much looking forward to it anyway. A bit of planning and good use of my 14 day Ultimate Disney Pass and I should be OK. :earsboy:

I read somewhere that water parks are busier on the weekends because people arrive at the beginning of the week and do all the regular parks first and save the water parks for last. Hence, the end of the weekend, Friday Saturday. The best days supposedly to go to a water park are on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Of course, most people don't want to kick off the vacation with a trip to water park when they can be at Magic Kingdom :)

I was curious if you think that site has taken into consideration the celebration starting May 5. The crowd levels are still projected at a 3, which is really good I think. I was there last May and i would think the crowd levels were about a 3 also. (I don't know they were a 3, it just seems the crowd were low). :wizard:

Thanks for any info!

They list Jersey week as a 2? Can this be?

We were at the parks the week after Easter. The days that were listed as 3's were definitely not 3's, closer to a 5 I'd guess. And we were at the recommended parks for those days. So, there are still some variables out there.

This list definately isn't as accurate as people might think. It may give you a big picture of the entire year, however, there are a lot of factors that throw this thing off....go through this site and search for posts about what others think about the dates you have in mind...look for people's advice that have been there during that time.

The best in-depth listing and explanation of when to go that I've seen is on tourguidemike.com. I found that VERY helpful and am planning my schedule around it. You do have to pay for tourguidemike.com but that section of data alone is worht the $20.

The golden rule seems to be...there really isn't a "perfect" time of year to go anymore with travel on the upswing right now. There are bad times to go though. Avoid those and plan well for every other time during the year...I don't care when you go, you are going to run into crowds if you make the wrong moves. This theory proved spot on when I went in February....thought it would be heaven....wrong...I still had my moments of fighting the crowds.

Hi folks,

We're working on a revision to the calendar, probably out sometime this weekend. We've not yet finalized the crowd levels for each day, but based on the increase in crowds we've seen this year, I wouldn't be surprised if some 2s turned to 3s or 4s. The first week of December looks to be getting a boost, as does October, IIRC.

The new revision will also include a description of just how much the day of the week impacts how long you'll wait. The worst-case scenario for the Magic Kingdom appears to be on Sunday, where crowds add about 20 minutes of extra waiting in line when doing a comprehensive touring plan. (The best day is still Tuesday, obviously at 0 incremental minutes - every other day adds between 1 and 19 minutes to your overall wait time, assuming a good touring plan.) How do we know this? We had people record wait times and ride rides for approximately 3 weeks so far this year, in the MK alone.

Hope this helps!

Len
