Webmasters? Uh, can I complain a little?

I'm getting the debug error only when I use IE - I use Serenity Green. On Firefox it's not giving me an error.

I had to use IE yesterday when my Firefox was buggy and it was so annoying having to click twice to cancel out the debug dialog box every time I went anywhere.

Now on Serenity Green, usually there's a forum jump link at the top. It's not there anymore! I'd like that back please.

The updates thing isn't causing me scrolling problems, but it sure is slowing down my load time!

Rajah, the images off your server seem to be hanging. Maybe that's whats up with your load time?

Grrrrrrrr

You guys are probably running into the script line length limit. Your inserted javascript needs to have breaks it in it, or it will decide to place random breaks in the line for you. I ran into this problem when I originally wrote my image script.

I really, really dislike the 'site updates' at the top of the screen. Whenever I scroll on my mouse, instead of scrolling the page it scrolls the box. grrrrr. Can we get a choice to not show it?

And I don't know if it's related but the DIScreet skin is tossing errors left and right now, and it's annoying. It looks like when DMsendTo is built, there's a line feed or something. ugh!

Okay it is like you are speaking another language. I just opened this thread to see how much I might understand but there is nothing. By the way is the offer still good to send you my list of problems from Highjackthis? I still cannot purchase anything on the internet. OH and by the way JFulcer, I found the darn pantyhose at a discount store for 2.99 per pair turns out I did not need to pay 70.00 for 12 pair.

Oh. Yeah. *blush* Lemme fix that (since my server at home is STILL down...)

That does some of it, but isn't all of it. Watching what it is that is trying to load, it hangs on the updates page as well. :(

And you say jfulcer is speaking another language?? ;) This is a national security code, isn't it? "Pantyhose" is actually barrels of oil, and you've found a super secret cheap supply. Haven't you????

We have vays of making you talk...

I talked to Corey our designer and he is going to work on making the scroll bar more user friendly. It did the mouse thing to me too!

If you are getting error messages could you be more specific? Usually if you get yellow triangles you can click on them and get more info, I'm not seeing them.

Alex,

could you bring back the forum jump scroll bar/button/thingy on the top in the Serenity Green skin?

It disappeared when the site update thing showed up and I hate scrolling all the way to the bottom to jump to another forum. Having it at the top and bottom was really handy.

The offer is still good. And again, you shop JUST like my wife.

Well, the current error? "Unterminated Constant String". I am running Windows XPsp2, IE6.0sp2

I posted on the tech board that I think it's the DeepMetrix script that is causing the problem. My guess is Firefox (and Opera/Mozilla/etc?) is ok with it, but when a line of javascript gets tooooo long, IE decides to insert it's own line feeds. I had the same problem when I was working with my javascript image revolver. IMHO the javascript needs to be broken into separate lines if possible (I forget what the size limit was when I was testing)

I also think that the script may be causing your photo loads to fail (like photobucket) but I am not sure why or how.

The photobucket thing seems to be a photobucket problem, depending on what hub things are routed through or something. Other boards have the same problem.

The site update thing annoys me though too.

Yep, the Photobucket problem was definitely a Photobucket issue. The Photobucket website was completely inaccessable for me earlier, but now I can get to it.

On the Photobucket website, they've posted:

Network Issue
It appears there is a peering issue with some of the network providers. We are looking into this.

That's the same error I'm getting when I use IE at work, however when I use IE at home it doesn't have that error.

I'm wondering if it's the version of IE that's buggy. My Firefox, Opera and home IE doesn't do that. Only the IE at work and only on my workstation. I tried logging in to another workstation with my second sign-on and that workstation didn't have the error.

Weird.

here's my error - the first one is line 310, the second one is line 350:

The site update box and scrolling is driving me NUTS! OP, Thank you for posting this. Can't it be moved to the bottom or something?

Yahhhhhh! Site updates is gone!!!!

And Deepmetrix is fixed! Wooo Hooo! (What was wrong?)

Now, if you can just make the moderator lists at the top of the CB message board shorter, I'll be a happy camper!

Hasn't anyone ever told you to quit while you were ahead? :rotfl:
