Webmaster Pete's CP Dinner Recommendations

I notice that he recommends the Garden Grill among the lowest tier restaurants. We ate at the Garden Grill before our CP show - and I warn anyone that is thinking about doing this: it is a HIKE from the Garden Grill to the American Gardens Theatre!! We were seated pretty late and by the time we got out, we almost were running through the crowded park - and it had already started! Luckily there were still some saved seats.

If you wand to do GG, my advice is book dinner AFTER the show OR book at least 2 hours before the show and check in 20 minutes early!

We are going to try Biergarten this year - Germany is quite close! I have yet to eat there, but other reviews say it is above average.

Last year we did Marrakesh, which was great, and extremely convenient to the show.

WE had the same experience at GG last year!!! Completely forgot how far away we were and were just taking our time. When I looked at my watch, I almost had a heart attack. But we made it in time to be about number 100 in line!! But, the food was wonderful.

This year we're doing LeCellier. Have never eaten there, so we'll see how we like it.

I also recommend GG as the best value for the CP package. In 2002 we had a 4:30PS, which was just about right to catch the 6:45 show(!) It was great because only CP guests were seated before 5:00, and we had the characters almost to ourselves!

Last year they would not give us a PS at GG in advance of the 6:45 show -- I guess they no longer open it before the standard 5:00 dinner time. Best to eat there after the show if you can.

Pete really made some good points. It's a shame they don't let more people in that don't have the package. I realize that the price of the packages includes entertainment but I'm sure there are some families who just can't find it in their budget to do the package and spend $200 for their meal. I bet that there would still be enough people who would do the package that WDW would still make money.
