Webkinz?

Oh I just had a horrible thought...can someone please tell me that Disney is not selling Webkinz anywhere. They just sell Disney products right?

I know I've gone two years in a row now and for some reason I keep thinking that toy store in DTD might sell unDisney stuff?

My daughter is addicted. If no one can confirm that they aren't available or even if they are available I need to lay ground rules NOW before we even arrive that only ONE Webkinz will be purchased on this trip.

Oh the horror that Disney will have these somewhere.

It is a stuffed animal that comes with a code to access a website. Your webkinz can participate in a virutal world. My daughter loves to get these but I think she has 10 now! She keeps getting them as gifts, NOT FROM ME!

I believe Disney sells just disney stuff, don't have to share the profits with anyone..

In October my 7yo DD was chatting with an 8- or 9-yo while in line for RnRC. The other girl said she'd purchased a Webkinz at MouseGear (the big store in Epcot) just a few days earlier. We didn't spy any at all -- and we'd stuck our heads in to MouseGear a few times that trip -- so maybe you'll luck out and your DD won't spy them either! At any rate, WDW may have some, but it's not like they're all over the place. Good luck!

I will confirm that they do INDEED sell them. Mousegears, World of Disney and a few other random places in the parks.

Thank you for the heads up. I will make sure DD knows before we arrive that only 1 Webkinz will be allowed. It's her money so I hate to tell her what she can spend it on. But she has enough stuffed animals and enough Webkinz.

I have also seen them at Epcot on the world showcase side. At an area that is an outside gift shop. I was buying a food & wine t-shirt and my daughter was eyeing webkinz & the jibbitz for the crocs. At least she picked a piece that was Disney themed.

We also saw Webkinz at the big World of Disney store (I think that's the name of it) at Downtown Disney. They weren't really out on display. They were on a bottom shelf, and they didn't have that many to choose from.

My kids love Webkinz so I understand. They too get to spend their own money when were at Disney, but they would rather buy the special Mickey. Last year they got the Year of Million Dreams Mickey. Previous years they have got the Mickey that has the year stamped on the bottom of his foot.

They know they can get Webkinz at home. Disney "stuff" can only be bought while at Disney.

I didn't know this until I read your thread I haven't beent since dec 06 and we re leaving in 21 days my MIL confirmed that when they were there in dec she did see them so I will have to let dd know that she can't get any. Mainly b/c I found them at the college I go to, who knew right, so I picked up a new webkinz and 4 charms and then later that same day we stopped at the dance store before cheer practice and well you guessed I bought her another webkinz and she got to spin the wheel of wow so she also got 2.00 off one of the outfits and she still doesn't know about the other stuff.

Oh yes I know that feeling. I have already tiold my 8 yr old who hase like 50 webkinz that we will not be buying Webkinz while there. I am willing to bet they will be somewhere down there. to quote you......"Oh the Horror" Practically her whole xmas list was Webkinz items. Made for easy shopping but Oh MY. lol

At dinner last night I told her that I am hearing there are Webkinz at Disney. Her eyes got HUGE! I then said BUT there will only be one Webkinz purchase allowed. She was fine with. I really expected her to say something like "Well it's my money!" But no problem. I think she realizes that it's Disney she is going to want Disney stuff, not Webkinz.

They had them in AK as well. It was at a kiosk as we were exiting either the safari or the train. They had mainly wildlife themes--tigers, gorillas, etc.

At least you're prepared--knowledge is power!
